Issues Contracting with EFES

I have been in contact with Scott Myer from Equita, and have been told I would be placed on Travis Tubbs team. He sent over some contracts for me to sign with three different carriers. He also sent me over a contract for Equita for being captive, etc.
I have been told by Scott what Travis' starting commission is, but nothing about renewals or anything else. I have had questions about lots of things, and have asked him to put me in touch with Travis multiple times. I have been told I will not be able to speak with him until I am contracted.
That sounds a little bit worrisome to me, and am wondering if that is just par for the course. The contract they sent me has nothing to do with my pay structure or anything like that, and I don't want to sign up for one thing but be getting another.
Is this just the way FE new agents are treated? I know that Travis is the best person to work with according to just about everybody, but I just have issues signing a contract if I don't know who I am working under, if that makes sense. Can anybody shed some light?

A commission schedule should include renewals. Is it on the insurance company's form or Equita's? Ask them to send you the one from the insurance company for the level you are being contracted at.

I haven't been given a commission schedule. I was told by Marketing what Travis Tubbs offers new agents, but past that wasn't given anything in black and white. I am not apt to sign something before seeing my compensation, so I am trying to see what I can do, or if this is just the normal way it goes.
I am thinking that normally it is not this way, but since Travis is supposed to be the best, and what was told he offers new agents is higher than I've gotten anywhere else, it seems like a good idea to try to wade through the bs the marketer is giving me. I'm not sure though, and I would like other's opinions who have been through this before me.

Find Travis' info on the forum (hoosierdaddy) and send him an email or private message. I am sure he would be happy to assist you.

Sounds weird to me that they would not send you a commission schedule for each carrier you're contracting with. If the guy you're talking to can't send you a schedule you might want to move up the food chain until you find someone who can. Travis is a great guy so you should be in great hands once you get setup.

Travis maybe the "best", I dunno neva met him....but from what Ive heard on here he's great, but not for everyone....no one is. So while Travis maybe the best, maybe he's not for u....I wouldnt wanna do business that way. It wasnt like that when I started with Shannon Davey & he owns the top Agency in EFES, I got everything up front, lots of hand holding when I began. So choose whos best for YOU, not who everyone else says is the best!!

Good Luck!

I have attempted to get through to Travis by email, and I cannot PM as I don't have enough posts. If somebody could give me an email he actually checks, or a way to better get in contact with him, that would be great. Thank you.

Also, after bugging Scott Myer, he sent me the contracting info, although he said he shouldn't be. Renewals are generally in the 4 or 5 percent area, except for Americo which has 0. Just getting a little bit of cold feet since not being able to contact Travis.

Exactly what you need to do. I wonder if Travis is swamped from the endorsement from this forum, especially JD.

Just go ahead and ask EFES for the release in writing and see how quickly they try to get you off the phone.
