Issues Contracting with EFES

Just go ahead and ask EFES for the release in writing and see how quickly they try to get you off the phone.

I think that is the case with most of the companies who offer lead programs. There are plenty of other carriers to write with should you have to wait 6 months, even though I don't think you should have to.

Some agencies just work this way. If you question them in anything way other than arms out and ready to follow them like a zomby, then you aren't their cup of tea. Must be their guage as to whether they can exert enough control over you, or will you become an insurgent... aka enemy combatant? LOL

I've had a similar experience with a well known forum member here, asked a few too many questions prior to contracting... one involved the release policy, and Bamm!!!! This program apparently isn't for you!!!! Allrighty then. I wasn't enough of a zomby, apparently.

I have been in contact with Scott Myer from Equita, and have been told I would be placed on Travis Tubbs team. He sent over some contracts for me to sign with three different carriers. He also sent me over a contract for Equita for being captive, etc.
I have been told by Scott what Travis' starting commission is, but nothing about renewals or anything else. I have had questions about lots of things, and have asked him to put me in touch with Travis multiple times. I have been told I will not be able to speak with him until I am contracted.
That sounds a little bit worrisome to me, and am wondering if that is just par for the course. The contract they sent me has nothing to do with my pay structure or anything like that, and I don't want to sign up for one thing but be getting another.
Is this just the way FE new agents are treated? I know that Travis is the best person to work with according to just about everybody, but I just have issues signing a contract if I don't know who I am working under, if that makes sense. Can anybody shed some light?

If you can't reach Travis now, do you really think it'll be any different once you are contracted under him? Hoosier is knowledgeable about FE from what I've seen him post, but you definitely want to be able to reach him, at least have him return your phone calls.

Your upline has to be not only knowledgeable about this niche of FE, they have to be willing to share this knowledge with you to help you be successful. Otherwise, you'll be a statistic of failure and be out of the biz in a couple of months.

How else could justify him getting a % of your commission in the form of an overwrite?

I'm still waiting for a reply to emails I sent to Travis about a year ago so don't hold your breath. I'm guessing that once you are in his group you will have a way to contact him quickly like a cell phone. There is an upline in Michigan who know his shlt and is very accessible. He was a top dog with NAA and then EFES until he broke his back and started recruiting. I would suggest you call him and talk about EFES and all your concerns and see how you feel with working with EFES and him. His name is Don and I PM'd his contact info.

I recommend giving EFES a look.

Anyone that has a UK Wildcat as an avatar is very likely to give good advice.

I wouldn't sign any contract without a commission schedule and I wouldn't sign up with EFES without talking to Travis if that's the manager you want to be under.

Travis may not be a good fit for someone and you sure as hell wouldn't know that without talking to him.

Since the greggor wants to give his advice about somethin g he knows nothing about solely in the name of recruiting against EFES, you could just contract under him and find out the real truth.

I am not sure about the commission schedule with renewals, but absolutely it needs to be in the contracting. That is first and foremost…

One thing about me is I still run FE leads every week, and am still very much an active producer. That is what I like. I also like helping agents that want to be helped. But I don't like spending hours on the phone with agents that are not serious. I hope everyone on the forum realizes and understands why I would feel like that. It isamazing how a couple phone calls explaining how the PPL works can eat up a day. I try and maximize my phone time with agents that need real help about selling, not the general explanation of how the lead program works.

*Newby can attest to the "time waste" of phone time with non-seriousagents.

It is not the marketers fault at EFES, because I ask them to do the "busy Work" for me. (Explaining the lead program, cost of leads, what carriers we use, contract issues, vectors, commissions ect.) They help weed out the people who are serious and who are not. Some guys will contract anyone that has aninsurance license. That's not in my comfort zone. If you're not willing, or interested in making "Selling FE" your full time profession than we're not a good match.

I am always available to the agents in my group. That is where I log all my phone time, explaining things like how to overcome "I want to think about it" objection instead of explaining the basics of the program to any and all agents that fire of an email.

The streak is still alive!!!! There has never been one agent that was NOTsuccessful with EFES, go somewhere else and be successful.

Any good thing has some hassles… It weeds out the agents that would make it a not so good thing.

Now we have it from the horse's mouth. I like that and I know from talking to people who offer contracts that the majority of phone calls wanting contracts turn out to be time wasters. You can't afford to do that if you are a producing agent.
