I'm new here too guys. JD, when you say partnered up, are they an IMO? 'Cause I need a good lead source as well. I'm not having any luck with telemarketed leads although I'm new enough to have only tried one source. I'm thinking EFES has to be an IMO otherwise that's a HELL of a deal for any kind of leads...
I guess the question is, is there not a good lead source (price and quality) out there if you're NOT signed up with an IMO/FMO??

Yes, EFES is an IMO, and I think that is a rate only top producers get. I may be wrong but i think they are 20-25 dollars a lead as well. Tried telemarketed leads as well and was not too impressed but i did not work the leads my partner did. But it did seem a bit odd most of the leads were receiving other life insurance calls around the same time. So I got kind of a whats going on here vibe. Have you done any mailers yet?

We produce them internally for agents contracted with us. By retaining control we can tell the prospect the agent's name and ask if they will be there for the next two hours. We send them to the agents every half hour so they are never older than that.

I'm getting ready to do a mail drop--got myself in a trick bag because I didn't know that may take upto 3 weeks?? to return anything...I had a bad taste for mailers when I was a captive agent (30 days old (+), customers not remembering filling out anything, lots of no shows and no door knocking training to boot). I definately want at least two sources though...
