Lets Get to Some Facts About Telesales

Now that's not true at all. Out of the 20 TM leads I got from you, I listened to every recording and not one gave a cell phone when asked and most said they had no cell phone at all.

I get some tele leads too... Maybe 20-25% give a cell #. And about the same % of DM leads sometimes have cell #'s too.

I think plenty of seniors have cell #'s, but NOT plenty in our demographic... And having 1 doesn't make them proficient at it or computers/internet. I don't see how the FE demographic would change in that regard, since their income will always be pretty low.

BTW, how are his tele leads, decent?

Taking a look at the competition for burial insurance etc. and how it trends shows me there are plenty of seniors online these days looking for it. Every question, phrase, keyword has the domain taken up, and the local searches are crazy high.
Seniors are online shopping for this, and so are their kids more importantly. EFES has put a ton of work into ranking for keywords for a reason and that tells me they understand the writing on the wall.
 
TD...you're right. I'll stop replying to your posts. I've addressed everything so that not the reason. The main reason is...I'm exhausted. The name calling is below me and its just not worth it.

Hey like I've said, I think telemarketing can and does work. When it comes to telesales, I have no idea.

I would have never said a negative word publicly about our business arrangement, but I call a spade a spade.

With that said, I was satisfied with the leads I received from dig.

I politely disagree, its seniors who are filling these out majority, this is from the people I have talked to, not my personal experience.

I think we both agree seniors have cell phones & are on the internet right?? I just disagree its a lot in our financial demographic thats all!
 
Maybe they just aren't giving you their cell phone because they don't want to use up their 250 free minutes :)
 
If they still love to pick up the phone and have not taken it off the DNC, this gives you an idea of those clients. They haven't embraced technology and would rather go old school and keep it that way. There is going to be a % on both sides. It might eventually swing more to internet and smart phones, but you give a smart phone to an elderly and they find an app for solitaire, that pretty much is the only use they are going to get out of it!!:D
 
But more and more seniors have cell phones and are using the computer. That's the point. It's getting to that age. Do you know that my marketers when developing leads, get a cell phone # from the customer about 90% of the time just by asking for it?

I was being sarcastic. The majority of seniors have cells and many younger seniors have email and facebook, In my experience. The people that I sell to. However, I do not track the average age of my clients or who buys SI policies vs traditional life.

Do seniors buy over the phone? Some of mine do. I have 5 or 6 apps out right now on ages 50+. Do I know what it takes to market to the "FE market" by phone or call centers? Nope. You definitely know more than I do on that. I am not your enemy. If it works for the you and the agents, Cool.

I know we aren't enemies. Didn't mean to come off that way if I did. I usually jump in here while working out so short and sweet. No what I mean. Lol

Filters...age 50-80. Household income $25K-$75K.

I've tried filtering to just diabetics but it wasn't worth it.
