Lets Get to Some Facts About Telesales

That's the problem. "You would guess". Everything about the last few statements from everyone isn't true.

My agents get low or high comp based on leads. They get renewals. My "infrastructure" didn't cost much and doesn't cost much to run. Last, I have very little "burn out" rate.

TD...the reason you don't see a post may be because you can't calmly respond without name calling. For a professional, your maturity level would be questionable my man.

As I said it was a guess. There would be zero way for me to know. Honestly, I do not really care one way or the other.

Can FE be sold over the phone? I can not speak for anyone else but, I do it weekly, on average. Same for term and UL. But I am a one man shop not a call center. I know several people on here that do it also.

I can not see a reason why I would do it in a call center for someone else. However, for someone new to the business it may be a an entry in. I just do not see it as a sustainable way to build a business for an agent.

Exxxxxactly.... Just like MGA when u have nothing to say & can't back up ya claim u resort to changing the subject as usual! U claimed I didn't know what I was talking about and/or I said some untruths about telesales... I repeated what I said & u choose to ignore it this time, what's a matter if it was untrue before, why aren't u saying that now? Exposed again! Here's a name for u, LIAR... And that's not a personal attack, it's cause u lied about me & what I said!

Greg, u make a great point about FE field sales, many do fail. However there's plenty here who do it day in & day out and a new person (like me 1yr ago) can get a lot of info here about doing it. If a person comes on here to get unbiased info on FE Telesales, and unbiased would be from a NON Recruiter who potentially has something to gain, where would that person go? Would u ONLY talk to a recruiter if u were new and considering telesales?

And now there's some "phantom" telesales agent who's on the forum but won't reveal himself cause he doesn't wanna be "outed"? Outed from what, being successful? That doesn't make any sense, but if there is 1, great... I'd love to hear how he/she did it. But to go back to Greg's point, if there's plenty failed FE f2f agents, but yet several on here.... Why don't u see that same result for FE telesales agents on here? I never claimed there weren't any, but Where are they?

If I was brand new and looking @ FE tele-sales, I'd prefer to speak with experienced and successful people using this method. Why would I prefer to talk with inexperienced or unsuccessful agents using this method?

The reason you see more face 2 face agents up here compared to tele-sales agents is for 2 reasons:

1. There's a much larger pool of agents using face 2 face compared to tele-sales.

2. Agents who are successful getting in a lot of presentations each week don't spend too much time up here. (Makes me wonder why I'm up here debating with agents who spend more time up here than they do getting in presentations).

I don't recall saying talk to unsuccessful agents, of course not... So why u brought that up, I have no idea. I asked u wouldn't u wanna speak to agents (successful) that are doing it themselves, and not JUST recruiters who have something to gain from u, whereas an agent doesn't? And if u came on here wanting to do telesales, there's no one but u & dig representing that segment.... No straight agents to get an opinion from is my point!

I am brand new to final expense ( as green as it gets ) but I've been following this thread and will give my two cents on it. I've been in IFP health sales over the last 5 years direct with a carrier doing telesales but before that I sold med supp and med advantage for the same carrier out in the field. When health care reform kicked in 2010 we had very few plans we could sell through the end of the year until we had approval from the DOI. Since I was already familiar with medicare products they decided to put me on the phone to assist the med supp telesales through the end of the year. I had to have my phone with the volume as high as it could go and I would basically be yelling over the phone. The ones who could hear me I would say about 7 or 8 out of 10 would ask me " If I was local and they could come visit me or if I could get someone to go see them in their home ". The phone is a very powerful tool but I would only use it to set appointments. FE Telesales to me sounds like it would be a very difficult way of selling FE and you will have to buy twice the amount of leads to make about half the amount of money you would be if you were selling in the field. If you're having success selling FE over the phone more power to you but I really don't see it as being an enjoyable way to do this business.

No offense but I've spent 10 years selling in the field. I find it much more enjoyable sitting in a comfortable office dressing how I please then running around all day in crappy weather. Ruining my shows and clothes. Smelling like ass at the end of the day.

I still would sell in the field. But telesales is a bit more "enjoyable".

Listen. Both ways are doable and enjoyable and successful either way. It's just the ignant folks in here that say it can't be done. It's bad business. You need a crap load of leads. It's just so funny how a lot of the statements are said with such conviction when it's bull crap. Then...you can those few that get so hot headed the only way they no how to respond is name calling and writing in all caps.

I dont think it matters now, cause on every reply now u avoid it. But in my comments about telesales (post #52) u said (in another thread) that I have no idea what Im talking about & my points were untrue...cause I guess Im a rookie.

Since then, u wont address what I said, u avoid it by changing the subject to JD 2-3 times now...Do u have a thing for him? I never mention him in my posts to u, but u cant help but to say his name!

I will agree with him about one thing. He sells the same amount of insurance by telephone as he ever did in the field.

You don't know what you're taking about. Tell me your real experience in final expense telesales that makes you all knowing.

See, I know what I'm talking about because I was successful in the field and now doing the same on the phone.

The reason I bring up JD is because over the past few months you trail and talk just like him.

It kind of reminds of that cartoon with the big bull dog and the little dog following him around? Lol

This thread is getting way of track as usual. Alls I see is the same old hear-say on what others have said but haven't done. If anyone has tried it, it's been dabbling. We all know dabbling never has been successful.

Let me know too what I've lied about here. See, I could sit here and use your response but so far, your communication in this thread has wasted most of my time. It's nothing but childish banter. Which is typical when you seem to jump onto my threads. It's so weird.
