Not to be difficult, the your election period starts 3 months before and after your part B effective date. You can be 70 and have an election period not only for an advantage but for a med supp also (with no health questions).

You are correct. There is always an exception to the norm, with those who continue to work beyond 65 and have group, therefore delaying their election to Part B. I don't run into many of these prospects in my neck of the woods, so I didn't recite all the rules that fit every case. I should have said NORMALLY the IEP is +/- 3 months surrounding their 65th birthmonth. Most agents know this, but I should be more careful not to leave this point out.
