MetLife

does that mean no hire?? or do i have to have some sort of explanation??

That depends upon which company, what the negative credit is for and the circumstances surrounding it. If there are unresolved issues, it will most likely be a "no hire." Think about it like this; As a life insurance agent, people are entrusting you with their personal financial information and to act in their best interests and the company that you represent is entrusting you to act responsibly and in their best interests as well. Would you want to trust someone who has a track record of irresponsible financial actions?

Just left them. Maybe my viewpoint is skewed. This was my experience. Training is terrible. Your basically on your on. A month after I got on board they changed their commission structure. Now they are thinking of making their health insurance benefits subject to production. Buyer Beware.

If you are serious about becomming a professional agent of any kind, dealing with the public, start practicing professional writing in your emails, forums etc. Forget about the teenager short cuts, and always use spell check and grammer etc. Getting in the habit now will at least help you look professional. And there are many books available at any library on professional letter writing. It is much easier for you to start now and try to eliminate bad habits. The same with working on the phone.
