N/A or Phone Call Screenings on the Increase ?

It is a dreary and rainy Saturday afternoon about noontime.
I usually try to setup Monday and or Tuesday with appts set over the weekend.
I am finding more and more n/a and call screenings than ever before.

My numbers today were 25 dials/ 4 contacts/ 2 appts

My point is that there were 21 people not answering their phones at all.
That is an incredible 84% unable to reach. It is just the first round of calls for the week.
Of course you mileage may vary.

Are you finding it harder and harder to reach people by phone because hardly anyone picks up their phone anymore?
I had 20 new dm leads, called this morning set 8 for Monday, only called 17 leads total,
 
A 50% set ratio right away has never happened for me in the 1 year that I have been doing this. I have also been through 5 appt setters who also could not get many/any appts, 10 -30% ( 2-6 appts) by the end of the week.
I have called on my own for quite some time now.
 
When I was recruiting F2F agents I would never teach them to set appointments over the phone for the reasons you have shared. It takes A LOT of dials & therefore it's easier to just 100% door knock leads. (In highly populated areas).

Especially with a good route optimizer and not setting appointments to interfere with the route.
