N/A or Phone Call Screenings on the Increase ?

It is a dreary and rainy Saturday afternoon about noontime.
I usually try to setup Monday and or Tuesday with appts set over the weekend.
I am finding more and more n/a and call screenings than ever before.

My numbers today were 25 dials/ 4 contacts/ 2 appts

My point is that there were 21 people not answering their phones at all.
That is an incredible 84% unable to reach. It is just the first round of calls for the week.
Of course you mileage may vary.

Are you finding it harder and harder to reach people by phone because hardly anyone picks up their phone anymore?

hey how's it going, This is what works for me, try it out.

start calling through your appointment Saturday morning at 9 a.m. call through your fresh leads and keep calling through your leftover leads from prior week I would say about maybe 50 you should get something out of there. Now if they didn't answer immediately call right back I usually redial it before my phone even resets. and continue to do that for every one. You will get some appointments out of that. stop take a break.

Do the exact same thing at 11

That usually finishes out my day if for some reason you still didn't reach the number of appointments you want.

Do the exact same thing at 6 p.m.

Also I agree with broker4 on this. get a local Google Voice number to use when you want to call through some leads that already know your current number.

And lastly I would suggest calling your phone is provider

Oops accidentally hit post.

so lastly call your phone service provider and change from your name to your company name or companies initials, so if they have caller ID it's different than your name that helps as well.

good luck I hope that helps

In the bold print above, you make it sound as if you dialed 25 leads just one time each. That won't work for you too well. Ms. Jones may not be home at 9:30 am but may be home when you call her back at 11:00 am.

Our agents that are dialing leads on Sat setting appointments for Mon (and Tues as a last resort) are dialing through their leads multiple times from 8 am till 12 noon. When they dial thru their set of leads each time they may stop and take a break, then go right back to redialing.

As goillini52 said, if you get a voice message or no answer, hang up and dial right back. Do it for 3 back to back dials. You'll get a few more people to answer the phone, maybe because they were caller iding you, in the bathroom, or just couldn't get to the phone in time the first time you dialed their number.

And then redialing your leads between 7 pm till 9 pm is also a good time to catch the folks you missed that morning.

The norm for most would be to dial through the leads (50+) leads (Old and New) 3-4 times on a Saturday to get 8-12 SOLID appointments. Some days won't be so good, "holidays".

During the week, dialing through the leads 8+ times/per phone day, is the norm for a PRODUCER!

Agents that spend a few hours a week setting appointments, reap the rewards of getting in front of some prospects and making sales.

Agents that spend 6+ hours/3 days a week setting appointments, can Reap the rewards of a Six Figure Income. It's all about perspective, goals, and work ethic.

Then there's the guys that want to get into the business and use an appointment setter before they even know what they are doing. This is a great way to FAIL!

Yes, to answer the OP's question, it is getting more difficult as time goes by!

I agree with agent5 you should not have an appointment setter unless you are successful at it yourself and have been for some time. Otherwise you'll never develop your own training, and not know what a difference a good appointment SET will do for you in the home.

To add to yesterday's comment. Never leave a message.
Never scheduled one leggers if there is a husband and spouse in the card when you set the appointment you can ask and Will mrs. Smith be there at that time too?
They will tell you yes or no she's not going to be here then you can just ask if there's a better time that you both will be home.
If you can't get a time when they're both home tell them you will have to put a note and give them a call during the week when they're both available or at a different time however you want to word that but I would not schedule it.

Also calling through your leads 8 times seems a little high for during the week but that may vary depending on your area? Not sure.

I find same amount of calls and times that works on Saturday works during the week too.

Usually an hour and a half to two hours will get the job done but I only go for 7 appointments, not sure how many you're going for?

The best agent I know setting appointments sets 10 in about an hour's time...i know crazy...but he does.

So some people are better than others at setting appointments you need to make sure that you are making yourself good at it by following the way someone that is extremely good at it does it.

I guess back to the Indian and not the arrow again lol good luck
