We need to have a Praying Mantis awareness month on the forum.

Because of thie weird weather, many praying mantis hatched early, think it was spring already and when they did, there was nothing there for them to eat. So they died.

It is very important that people are made aware how important they really are and stop killing them.

I'm asking everyone around March to go to ebay and buy you some praying mantis eggs for about .50 to $1 each. Then place them outside of their homes and help the cause.

That is not a bad deal if you are going to resale them.

Each Egg has over 200 babies in it. So if you pay under $1 an egg and you sell them for .10 each....

But no one besides me needs to do this.

I don't know dude what if they morph into some giant praying mantis and eat my cat!! You saw what they can do to a mouse. I don't know if I can ever look at one the same way. I will respect them from now on that's for sure.

They only eat things that most of us dont like.

Flies, moths, roaches, rats, etc.

Small stuff and they cant hurt you. They dont spit in your eyes either.

I now live in South Florida, about 40 miles north of West Palm. When would be a good time for me to get some eggs and put them outside?

Will they do well if I just put them outside or do I need to keep them contained for a while and feed the babies to give them a good start? I never see any moths or bugs around the yard light at night but we have hundreds of little lizards that are everywhere.
