Why don't you guys just use appointment setters? That's what I do, I buy 60 - 80 (3-4 a day) qualified pre set appointments and if you get porched or no showed you just get a free lead.
Sure beats the heck out of dm and is basically the same price or cheaper than starting out with efes or someone like that. Best value I've come across so far

A free lead isn't free when the company replacing a crap lead gives you more crap leads. Spinning wheels wasting time...

I have to say Ive gotten a lot less crap leads this way because for one, I rarely have to deal with no shows or cancellations. The leads are qualified, set and the confirmed the night before or day of the appt. They have every reason to get out and dont - therefore must be a pretty good lead.
But in the end of the day, if you can sell it doesnt really matter where the lead comes from right? There's always going to be some junk in there, I just like the fact that I get a guarentee on how many leads I get, no shows / cancellations do not count, and I dont have to chase people down, or waste gas driving to someones house who doesnt know Im coming, then drive around the block for 10-15 min, do "the wave" (haha that is awesome btw) and then look at a $20 piece of paper when its all said and done.

I found a guy who doesnt know anything about insurance - he avgs $7000 bucks a week in the hvac business after all expenses. and the way he does it is he sets leads for his guys to sell. Guess how much they pay for leads? $0
So I approached him and offered to pay for leads and gave him a list of qualifications I wanted him to set for me (knock out health questions, age, tobacco, bank acct those kinda things)
And then i haggled him down to $18 - he wanted to charge me $30 which still isnt that bad when you think about it.
So long story short $18 is what I pay

I'm too old to play games anymore. I confirm the appointment ahead of time, but it's a real appointment in the first place. If they can't make it, fine, s hit happens, we'll reschedule. If they're hiding, is it a real appointment to begin with? Did you leave something out of the conversation prior?
