What is the reason for Craig's mom being the up line and not Craig if he is a founder and partner? If it is due to previous non competes then why have so many others been able to leave other large IMO's to start their own companies and not have to use their parents names?

I'm new to all of this and read this thread as I have an interest in NASB, or I did. What are vectors?
Craig actually is in the hierarchy with most carriers, but having his mom as the top level agent under the IMO allows him to act as reckless as he does - when he eventually loses his license it won't affect his income because his mom will still be receiving his override income (if there is any left at that point...)
I was one of the LUCKY FEW to get outta there w/ my renewals intact. Getting there in their infancy saved me. MANY agents leaving there now are finding out they lost ALL their renewals.
I got a buddy at NASB that's high on koolaid. I've told him a badrillion times that he's screwed, but he swears they are a family and that if he needed to leave it would be no sweat.
So, kinda to stir the pot (but mostly to try and help a friend) I offered him 120% contracts with a few carriers and a subsidy type set up for leads.
So, of course, he's drooling. Goes to his manager: no releases. Ever.
I think the NASB guy actually said, "family doesn't leave family". My buddy was too upset for me to make him clarify if that was what the douchehat actually said, but he made it seem that way.
