Paperless Application

I doubt I would attempt this within my first month, but my plan longterm would be to have the PDF app on my Microsoft Surface, fill it out, and the client just signs right there on the screen.

Now I have the app 100% completed in PDF format and ready to upload. Other than quickly scanning in a check to attach it seems like that would be a very quick, clean, and paperless way of doing things.

I'd always have paper apps as backup tho in case the client just preferred that (which would be understandable).

I thought the same thing but found that the carriers were not ok with doing so.

All carriers? My Surface pen is hella accurate and the signature looks as good as ink. Seems more iron clad than an e-app would be.

I did that on my iPad until I learned that every company forbids it. One agent blamed me for getting him termed for using PDF apps. They only allow they own designed digital apps. No digitally signed PDFs.

Hmm interesting. They require an active internet connection I assume tho right? If so I wouldn't trust it since cell signals can be spotty in rural areas.

I haven't seen a thread about this in a while. Which carriers have a paperless application available? I should clarify that I'm not asking about telephone apps but tablet type apps. SNL is supposed to be rolling one out fairly soon that will even give an underwriting decision within seconds. I really like SNL but there are a couple things about them that keep them from being a primary carrier for me. So does anyone know of other carriers that have a platform similar to this or any carriers that are working on something like this?

American Amicable just released an E App for touch screens.

.... But yeah it's AmAm :/

No. Most can be done with no signal and the you upload when you have internet.

That doesn't seem so bad.

I'm sure just filling out an application the old school way is the least headache tho. Gonna go out on a limb and guess none of the big producers around here are filling out apps on tablets.

I only use tablets on complicated forms. Humana MAPD. I did some Lafayette apps yesterday on the iPad.

But with most FE apps paper is still easier than app.
