Paperless Application

I only use tablets on complicated forms. Humana MAPD. I did some Lafayette apps yesterday on the iPad.

But with most FE apps paper is still easier than app.

Just to clarify, I was thinking of saving my apps on a surface pro tablet and just having them sign, fill out the apps and write them up on a PDF app. You said that's not allowed with the carriers?

You can do your own checking with your companies. I know with mine there is NO gray area. Absolutely not allowed and any customer that says you signed them up that way will get their money returned and the agent will be termed for cause.

So yes, I'm pretty sure.

Wouldn't even risk it if the carrier directly told you it was ok. I mean, the person on the phone that day that said it was allowed might not be the person on the phone 2 years from now.

Same goes for higher ups within a company as well.

When the poo hits the fan your defense of "Well so and so said it was ok!" is gonna look silly.

To mae digital apps legal the #1 thing they MUST do is lock the app after the customer signs so no more changes can happen. If you do one without that feature, you are subjecting your policies to being recinded later. I don't know if two years is even the limit on those recisions either.

And just saying it diplomatically, no agent should put themselves in such a position it will be a nightmare.
