Public Option Lives on

I'd like to see Obama grab his nuts and state publicly that he will not sign a bill that doesn't not have a public option. Then let the games begin.

How about if Barney grabs them. Does that count?

Man, someone hung Sebelius out to dry. They used her as the trial balloon to see how it would work if someone suggested that the public option was not essential and there has been nothing but a firestorm. You think she came up with the idea to say that all by herself without maybe clearing it with Barry and Rahm? Ahhhh.... I don't think so. Biggest reform movement to come down the pike in decades and they have a total unknown "leading" it. Whatever "leading" means.

I think it is the society made such leaders and it is the system made such environment for such leader to exist. God bless America!

Maybe I cuss a bit, (I'll work on that), but I don't understand a lick of what you just typed out here?

Look, co - op, Smo - op I ain't worried about no stink'n co - op. Yeah, I know they got one in MN with a million members and blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, try that one in Fl. or TX. Not gonna happen. Just ask Howie Dean, they can't compete. Humana, Aetna, United and the blues will slap the snot (not a cuss) out of anyone of em like the ugly step child of Barry's that they are.
Were golden. You'll see. Also 60 house dems just stated that they won't vote on a bill "without a public option." Hold'n out for the renter not the landlord votes come 2010. What a shame it's D.O.A ... It's done.
Were in the money ...

There again, is no leadership. I just watched a video where Sebelius stated she "still supports" a public option.

"Still supports???" No Kathy, you DEMAND a public option and Obama DEMANDS a public option stating that nothing will get signed unless it has the option.

Did Bush "support" and Patriot Act? Did he "support" going to war with Iraq? No - these were statements. We ARE passing the Patriot Act and we ARE going to war.

Obama needs to grow a spine. What does Obama REALLY want? He doesn't want reform to be directly tied to his ideas. He wants an escape route. He wants to be able to point the finger in case reform is implemented and winds up being a disaster.

He'll take credit for it passing and will quickly stand back when it implodes ways "whoaaa, there everyone, those weren't my items in that bill."

I'm just curious how Obama keeps getting away with talking about how good UPS and fedex run even with the USPS to compete with.... does nobody in the media see that as the most ridiculous justification of a public plan.
So the government cannot deliver mail efficiently without going broke but... they'll figure out healthcare and save us money! Yeah there is something missing

I think we are reading more into this than is necessary.
Trying to rationalize how these liars can string so many (although the minority [43 vs. 47%]) along really goes back to two things denial and desire.
These short sighted, impulsive people do not want to look at or understand the U.S. economy in its entirety.
They do not want to see past "free." They do not want to do so. Simple as that.
Forget about trying to explain to them how in Canada for example they will always pay over $5 for a gallon of gas, over $20 for 12 domestic beer, a $5000 surcharge every time they buy or sell a car, etc. They don't want to hear any of that.
Comparing Canada to the U.S. in almost any way economically is pointless. You're talking about a country of 30 vs. a country of over 300 million. Hello? Perhaps a different overall dynamic?

I see Barney Frank, the slovenly sloppy windbag, held a townhall last night and played the "insult ninja" as he always does. This guy is one of the smartest, most intelligent people on Capital Hill but his radical left-wing arrogant rants are becoming tiresome. He loves to snub his nose so high in the air I'm surprised he can breathe at that thin altitude. Frank truely believes he knows what's best for you and I, better than we know for ourselves. He is the true definition of BIG GOVERNMENT, trojan horse single payer healthcare.

I agree with Al but for a different reason. We are a country of people with their hands out. This started 100 years ago and the momentum just continues.

I object to paying peoples' mortgages, down payments on their cars, retirement and health insurance. None of this is part of the constitution, but then neither is the war on drugs, nation building, etc.

This country is doomed. Perhaps it's good that Obama and the rest of the socialists are in power. The transition will come quickly and hopefully after the fall our republic, we can start over.
