Public Option Lives on

I've met Barny Frank one on one and he is a reasonable man. Most of you would like him. You would not agree with him, but you could talk with him without him characterizing you in the manner you are him.

Al

No disrespect Al, but I don't like to be lied to. Why are the Dems hiding their true agenda? Stop the dancing around, just come out and say it, SINGLE-PAYER. I would respect them so much more even though I disagree with what they're saying.

Pay close attention to 1:55-2:15 of this video...

What do these wrong minded representatives don't know is, what a senior adviser learns the first 15 mins. in the business. For the majority of medicare beneficiaries this is "life or death!" I will ask rhetorically; "Am I wrong?" There are many many people on medicare that a substantial percentage of their life revolves around a medical condition, be it their on or a loved one. We should not be surprised at the up-roar.

My point that I would like to share...at this point not to focus on the merits or lack there of with "health care/insurance reform"; it is the strong mind set of the medicare population resistant to change. Let me give you a true example.... Ms. X lives on less than $900/Mo in subsidized housing, DUAL eligible, medicare & medicaid; who is paying about 20% of monthly income for a BC/BS Med. Sup. for years. I begged her to let me help her save that $$$$$, event hoping to get some refund. She would not cooperate. All of us have a long list in our memories of people who were afraid of "change." I wish there were technologies in place to prevent things like this. I bet 95% of us agree we need significant changes, but I for one have no confidence in the abilities of these lawmakers to improve on what we have.

Thanks for a place to "RANT."
