Replacing Business

I can not speak to LH but I have gone to many funeral homes to handle the assignment for clients. I have done more conference calls with clients in the funeral homes. I have faxed or emailed all required forms to funeral homes with copies to my clients, before the I meetings. Any good agent shines at claim time. If LH does that, props.

I'm new so I haven't had to file a claim yet but knew that that would be part of being peoples "insurance man" and assured her I would help in anyway I can.

I had a feeling he fed her some bull but without researching it first I wasn't going to tell her that. It would be like telling her her baby is ugly!

Hey well, if the truth hurts, say OUCH!! :goofy:

It absolutely is rebating. But as far as I know, they haven't been called to the mat on it yet.

That's why Monumental insists that theirs is given for every meeting, not every sale. They don't have to buy anything to get it.

They don't do anything of the sort. If that is being done it's by the agent.

The FCGS is a glorified funeral planning guide that most companies give out for free. They will help on policies that are out of contestability but no one really needs help with those.

But, if someone feels that the FCGS is a good deal they can buy it direct from them without paying for an overpriced LH policy.

If an agent, LH or otherwise, is going above the call of duty then kudos to that agent. LH or any other company has anything to do with it.

He isn't necessarily feeding her bull. I work with LH and that's something I do for my clients. If something happens to one of my policy holders I will meet with the beneficiary and help them contact the fcgs and the funeral home to make the process easier.

Like wino said its something that any agent can do. If for some reason the agent leaves LH and won't help her beneficiary then she could use the 800 number and still receive help making the arrangements.

But I bet if the agent leaves she will follow him to whatever company he moves her to. Seems like he knows how to take care of his clients. If he will actually help when she dies.

Or he could be full of it!! I hope not.

Yeah it always breaks down to the agent. Do the right thing or don't.

Agreed. If the agent is a stand up guy he does what is right. And usually they are compensated for it.

You are not 100% right. The fcgs will contact the funeral home on the beneficiaries behalf and make the arrangements as needed. Especially if their agent is no longer with the company.

They don't only help with the claim process they actually call the funeral home and plan the funeral. They will also help obtain the death certificates and contact social security to let them know the person died if they are receiving benefits. And make sure the funeral home has all the documentation.

Blah, blah, blah. Your story is one way, the president's, {of FCGS}, is another way.

Doesn't matter. If someone thinks it's of value then they can buy it. They don't have to have LH to get it.

Have you researched the fcgs? The beneficiary makes one phone call and it is taken care of.

I've seen the process before. What is the "presidents"way?

Have I researched it? I wrote for LH for over 2 years. It's a farce. I believed in it too when I was fed the kool aid and drank it.

Ask Newby about the LH preneed guy that came into the funeral home trying to sign them up and Newby got on him about the FCGS pretending to be a preneed type thing and he told Newby is just a marketing "gimmick for Mexicans".

The president I was referring to is the president of the FCGS. I visited the headquarters and he told us all stright out that they would not do anything on a policy that was contestable.

Now the marketers for LH will say that's not true but they never opened their mouth when he said it.

Newby has had then refuse to even help with paperwork on a contestable policy brought into the funeral home.

I said before and will say again. I does have some value, although very little. But, if a person feels it has more value than I believe then they can buy it. They just don't have to buy an overpriced LH policy to go along with it.

But, let's go back, what value does it have? It will pay immediately on a policy that's not contestable. So what? Any funeral home in America can get paid on a non contestable policy within 24 hours. FCGS or not.

So, my question to you would be, have YOU researched it?
