Replacing Business

I'm sure it does it's main purpose...get their mind off the price of the insurance and make them think they buying...(wait for it) ...MORE than an insurance policy.

Any agent can do MORE than the FCGS could ever do. Anyone can shop funeral homes. Anyone can show families where to buy Chinese or Mexican caskets for $250. Any agent can sit down with the funeral directer and explain the coverage and fill out the claim form.

Thank you, now I got the facts...not that it was ever hard to replace those policies anyway!

Any LH agents wanna chime in & dispute this?

Dignity Planning has a free website that is much more than FCGS and it's free! Can plan everything on your own from the funeral home to your casket, flowers, attire, etc.

But Dignity will try to steal your clients too.

Hey JD, what do you know about W Kentucky? are they a viable upset threat? I agree about Miami, but have Louisville in the final 4, but there bracket is a bit harder.

I know their coach very well. He is a hell of a coach. He took over mis season last year and led that team to the tourney and probably gave UK the toughest game.

This year the team didn't come around until late. They are playing their best ball right now. Ray Harper won 4 NCAA D-2 titles and one NAIA national Championship.

They have a real tall order here in their first game. I don't think they can win it but I would never bet against Ray Harper.

Good to know, I will be rooting for them, I love upsets!

I usually tell them that because people are living longer now, rates have come down on new policies and if they have had theirs for awhile they may have lower rates now available on their coverage. I tell them I just have to see if they qualify and ask them a few questions and its easier done inside then standing on their porch. Usually works and they let me in.

Yep, I generally do the same. Works nicely for me!

If I was a client and found you could give me the same coverage at a lower cost and did not, I would be quite upset! Now if they are a modified plan with waiting period and almost through that, that is a different story.

I think the main purpose would be to make the process as easy as possible for the member.

Your absolutely right about every agent being able to do what they do and more.

But.. I've been in FE business for a while. I have spoken with many agents and I never run into any that do. None. Nor have I ever ran into a policyholder that said the company they were with provided this service.

Actually reading on this forum is the only place I have ever heard that agents help with the funeral process. I seriously thought my agency was the only one that did.
