Royal Neighbors Changes

Aetna interviewers have NEVER GIVEN ME AN ISSUE. They have been very consistent with me and my business.

Beat me to it. AmCon's interviews and app process is about as good as it gets. You get the decision and the policy number in less than 10 minutes.

I wish their rates were better. They would be my goto company if they had better rates.

Great thanx - No weight chart either.

Now we just need to get their commissions up a bit!!;)

The positive side of the higher rates is the association with the well known Aetna name. Like RNA, I probably can't use AmCon for people who will shop me a month from now on price.

I do not use the Aetna name. I tell people they are being placed with AmCon.

People have heard of 99% of the companies out there until they talk to an agent.

My people don't like to be dealing with "the man". I position State Farm, Allstate, MoO, etc as "the man".

We want to stay as far away from those types as we can.

Using the RNA member benefits properly will keep you from being replaced. At least it does for me.

Member Benefits are perfect for a brief conversation during the policy delivery. They also present lots of opportunities to ask about referrals by hinting about other family members or friends that could benefit from discounts on drugs, eyes, teeth..

Maybe? I don't do it that way.

You're the only non IMO I see pimping Settlers. So I guess that makes us even on forum talk?

I gave Settlers a shot. I canned their A@# soon after! What a pain in the A#@ company to deal with. My last straw was a SINGLE PREMIUM policy that I flew out to Chicago to complete. WoW! Talk about ISSUES.

The "HEAD UNDERWRITERS" (and I use that term VERY loosely) didn't know what they could/couldn't accept as far as 1035's. First they said they could take partial exchanges from a Met-Life I was 1035ing. They said, SURE WE ACCEPT PARTIAL exchanges, go ahead and get'er done. Since I been doing this for a while I knew I better call again and ask a different underwriter to see if I get the same answer as the one I just talked to. And FOR GOOD MEASURE I called yet a 3rd time and asked to speak to a HEAD UNDERWRITER to confirm the previous answers YET AGAIN, BEFORE I made the flight to Chicago.

Got back home to San Antonio and faxed in the completed app with ALL the necessary forms to get the exchange completed. Then they called me a few weeks later and DROPPED THE BOMB after a round-trip flight and 2 field days wasted to let me know they couldn't do it after all. The HEAD underwriter (or 1 of them) told me SHE apologizes BUT they weren't aware of what they could/couldn't accept in regards to 1035's. She said I shouldn't be so upset, because after all, I wasn't the only agent they have receiving bad news. She proceeded to tell me they had to tell another agent the EXACT same bad news, so I wasn't the only one this happened to.

Couldn't believe my ears! Glad to be done with them...

I am really surprised they even knew what a 1035 was.. That is not a normal FE issue and, after all, they are strictly an FE company.

That's pretty much my experience with them on every case. Don't even get me started on one where the father was the owner of his 11 year old daughter's policy and the father died.

Working to get ownership changed to the mother was impossible. And I mean really "impossible" we could not get it done. I had to place the little girl with another company. That got their attention when they got the replacement form.

Newby got involved at that point and they told him they were working to resolve the ownership issue. I guess they still are? That was in May. I haven't heard anything else on it.

Then I had a single premium case on the healthiest 78 year old you will ever meet. Works everyday as the owner of a concrete and blacktop construction company. Fit as can be. Actually works along side his crew. Not works from an office. I've known the guy for 35 years or so. Legendary for his strength.

He gave me $6000 cash which I hurriedly took to the bank and got a cashier's check. He wasn't approved on the POS interview. Then they did another phone interview and then an APS before declining him.

Placed elsewhere with no problems at all.

But I'm the only one having trouble with them.

I remember the days when FE life insurance was commonly referred to as EZ issue life insurance. Some companies even branded it as such. It was kind of the whole point. That now seems doomed to a nostalgic past.
