Scanning Your Documents

aye..and I wonder HOW important it is to do the duplex scanning as supposed to duplex printing....if its going to be electronicly stored the duplex scanning I don't think is as important.

I have the Fujitsu SnapScan S510. I just tried my DL. It is too thick

I sometime have the error come up with I have tape on paper, ut I can still over ride it. I've never tried a drivers lic, but I would not think it would work.

I had the same problem with mine, 1 file for each page. After many attempts I figured out if I start the scan with the software that came with the printer (hp solutions)
click scan documents
click scan documents to pdf
click scan
on the next page there is a check mark for 'create one file for one page' make sure it is unchecked.
Initially, I was putting the paper in and hitting the scan button on the printer, which is fine for one sheet :) but not multiples.

Hope this helps,
Jim

You need a better scanner. If you watch those videos, I can scan 100 page into 1 pdf if I like and with the software I can merge pdf or delete pages or anything.

It has a lot of settings that I've never pay with.

Fax to PDF suck. The pages will look like crap.

If you do a fair amount of scanning, duplex scanners are a life saver. A lot of policy docs come in printed on both sides, so its MUCH easier to scan duplex than to flip the documents.

Of course, it depends on how much scanning you really do. I know my scanning has diminished a lot lately with using e-signatures for lot of my work. I send them out for signature using docusign (others work as well) and they come back as a pdf already, no scanning needed.
