Securus Vs EFES in Building a Team: Any Information on Greg Harvey?

In defense of Securus:

- I buy the "Platinum" leads for $21.95 per lead; they are fresh and new. I've never had one recycled on me.
- Securus DOES resell your leads after 30 or 45 days as "B" or "C" leads. Equita does something similar, but it's not nearly as quick as a turnover.
- Securus unfortunately has a "free" lead program that gives new agents almost free or free leads that tend to be months if not years old.
- EFES will *NOT* release you either -- I am stuck with a 6 month release on all my carriers through them. Even after finishing up the remaining lead flow.

Because Securus will sign you up and charge you for old leads while swearing they are new.

They won't release dispite their claims that they will.

I've talked with too many agents that have had terrible situations with Securus. It's nothing for them to just flat out lie to you.

EFES does nothing similar to Securus when it comes to reselling leads.

another quick question... is there any way to tell what territories are still available for either company? If I am in/near Nashville, I think that territory may be all filled up. How would I be able to find out? Is there a map I can look at or do I need to check with a manager?
Thanks again

Last I checked EFES didn't have anyone in your area -- things change, though. A call to their marketing department will tell you either way.

Securus has had a few agents in your area, but I think it's wide open. They also have a ton of older, unworked lead inventory (hasn't actually been purchased by an agent) that you can get at a steep discount.

There's a guy on the forum in West TN closing 15% of aged leads that are from 3 months to 12 months old. That ain't too bad.

B leads? 3 dollar leads?

Those are leads from agents that no longer work for EFES. They are mazrked as such and sold as such. Even have the agent code on them so you know who worked them previously. They are never sold as fresh leads.

I don't know that Securus does that. I've just seen it posted here that they do.

You can get with the managers at EFES and they will input whatever zip codes you ask for and tell you if there is an agent already getting leads there and , if there is, can it support another agent. The area where you are located could handle several agents with no problem.

but he can call ol larry (dick)stein in the executive boardroom if he goes with securus... haha

Pretty much the same thing as the Securus situation, JD. Granted, if an agent can't pick up a current agent's older leads, that is nice and arguably better than Securus's arrangement.

Regardless, it is selling *your* lead *you* purchased from either organization. Which doesn't bother me, because, as you know, if you do your job correctly and in the client's best interest, your policy most likely will not be replaced, even if your lead is resold.

I helped a good friend of mine who joined Securus run some leads one day. I can tell you as sure as sh*t as I'm typing this, we had 6 lead cards.. 1 home had a for sale on it and vacant, and another was completely vacant- These were leads he paid for and "supposedly" mailed out a few weeks prior.

No identifying marks on the leads from Securus- they are copies you get of their OPT system-

Securus is in the "Lead business"- Trust me when I tell you this
