Seeing Lots of Pioneer American Telesales?

Heads up for East TN guys and others prospecting FE a lot.

I've run into 2 Pioneer American policies that were put into force over the past several months and replaced both.

They totally screwed up one lady's coverage (issued ROP when it should have been Immediate -- I fixed that), and poached another client of mine by clean-sheeting it, embellishing the smoker status (which I will fix).

Both were done over the phone, I guess by an aggressive phone agent.

Let's hope some more LH agents will start hustlin' their wares over the phone soon. We need inventory replenishment.

I've run across 3 of them. replaced them all. One was just as you said. They had the lady on an ROP plan when she could get immediate elsewhere. You know they are the same company as AmAm?

A new, freshly staffed phone room outside of St. Louis has recently beefed up and they are selling Pioneer American and Occidental Life (all connected with AmAm).

Final Expense Telesales dot com is the name.

I replaced one last week also. First time I had ever heard of them... big time ripoff ratewise. Easy replacement.

I've run into telesales from Generation Life out of Columbia TN lately. Real low rates on WL but they are clean sheeting apps.

Had one lady who was hospitalized 3-times recently for a serious health condition but the agent checked "no" to the question.

They have a 5- year look back on health.

du du du...another one bites the dust, and another ones gone, another one gone, and another one bites the dust..

FE telesales might become our best friend, time will tell.

You guys are using the term "clean sheeting" a bit incorrectly.

The way Pioneer works is through a similar system to Aptical. They do a 3rd party conference call where they do a script check and MIB. If something gets through after that, it's on the client. Not being truthful.

The agent can't "mark no" in the app. They are going over a specific process over the phone.

Regardless of the comments, there is room for both field and phone. Both process's have replacements. What I see here is the fact that it IS becoming "the way of the future". We are seeing more and more carrier offer telesales. And...there are going to be a few more announcing it over the next few months.

There is not much difference in policy's falling off sold by phone as face 2 face. Though most field vets will disagree on here and that's fine. No none can deny the changes happening to the industry.

One of the reasons that FE by phone has a bigger lapse rate is because most of the companies offering a true app by phone have higher rates than those companies that don't do it.

Just as an example, Baltimore Life has one of the easiest app by phone processes in the business. Their rates are not that competitive when compared to the "other" non-app by phone companies.
