Selling Insurance in different timezones as a side hustle?

I think everyone over-focused on the modern slang "side hustle". It doesn't mean "cheat someone". 20 years ago, the poster would have said "moonlighting" and no one would have grumbled. It's just changing language.

@Questionguy87 you could also search YouTube and you'll find videos about selling insurance part-time. Whether Medigap, etc. is the best product to sell in this manner is a different question.
Yes you are right. Thanks for being cool and seeing through the lingo that seemed to bring all these negative people out of the woodwork. Yes, part-time might have been the right thing to say.

Before you 'dabble' you really do need to figure out which line most interests you and who you can work for to gain experience and information. Most insurance agents could sell a house and be real estate agents or sell a car but few in those industries could sell insurance because the prospective client ask lots of questions. they have not done any or little homework about what they are thinking of purchasing. It might be a requirement (P&C) or a need (health, life, medicare). In the beginning you have to live insurance in order to understand as much as possible as quickly as possible. Look at one line and if you find out you don't like it bounce to the next line which has some of the same concepts. Try Health and then look at Medicare and then you can add Life to your resume'

I understand but I hope by now you understand by "side hustle" I am trying to say "part time" right?
No, I don't think you understand. You chose to use the term "side hustle", instead of "part time opportunity". I didn't stop taking you seriously because you are looking for a part time opportunity, I stopped taking you seriously because of the language decided to use.

Many people on this thread have taken issue with your use of the term "hustle", and it's clearly rubbing many of us the wrong way. At least two of them have done well enough in insurance, that they no longer need to work full time.

If you can't listen to feeback and get us to want to give you advice, how on earth do you expect to be able to sell insurance?

dude are you kidding? If you look at the posts above this it was cleared up that using the term "side hustle" was just another word for "part-time" as starting part-time is all I can do right now. I have moved on from that part of the conversation and really just looking for tips on how to do it part-time and who has experience. In a perfect situation, I would be able to focus full time but it just isn't doable yet. If I am going to get notifications for the rest of the day of grumpy old guys all angry at new terminology that upsets them I will just write this forum off as useless and leave it at that.

A few people saw through the syntax and said some useful things and others (cough cough) are just having an angry old guy circle jerk since they must not have better things to do

There seems to be a theme with your choice of words. I think you've proven my point.
