Setting DM Appts by Phone

JD, Please point just one lie that I've ever posted up here. The only misrepresentation I can think of is when I accused you of being a recruiter for EFES. (I still think you are a silent recruiter for EFES by referring interested agents on this forum to your upline, if they are in your upline's area). So tell us all up here what nonsense you are referring to that I'm lying. You just don't have even one example.

You criticize me for recruiting agents yet your buddies Newby, Todd King, Win 360, and others recruit on this forum. I'm only recruiting in NC and VA for final expense...either TELE-SALES or FIELD SALES. And I only let people up here know I recruit by my sig. line.

Don't worry, we can let you be the FE king up here. You spend enough time up here to earn it. :D

I'm the King n Queen of FE!!!! Hmmm thinking of getting new user name...Mah the Queen of FE!

Newby, JD & them are ok "reads"... Mah is the ONLY must read!

Since theinsuranceman want to still misrepresent his untruths I will provide a refresher;

He admits to deceptive selling. he says he teels the prospects that he is a "field underwriter" as opposed to being an agent. While in technical terms that may be correct it is told to prospects to deceive.

He also admits to deceptive practices to get hard to reach people on the phone by leaving a message that he has a "check for them".

He is deceptive about his recruiting in that he will reply off topic in a thread that "telesales would fix that". Then when called on it he will deny that it was recruiting. That's where I take issue with what he does. The other people that recruit are upfront about it. He continues with deception.

He is deceptive in calling me a "silent recruiter" for EFES. I'm not even sure what that is but I'm sure there have been some people sign up with EFES because of me. That doesn't make me one of them. Why he wants to make it appear that I am of his ilk is a mystery. But, it's a continuation of he normal deceptive ways.

But the kicker and where he separated from being deceptive to outright lying is when he posted that I do recruit for EFES and send those agents to Travis and then Travis pays me for those recruits. That is a bald face lie. There is not a thread of truth in that and he knows it. He also posted that with malice.

Now the Ghandi of the board can say that he has credibility but I don't know on what planet a person can admit to deceptive business practices and then tell a bold faced lie and have credibility.

Now he turns around and even denies that he has put that stuff on the forum. Is that lying about his lying? It is to me.

The fact that he burns through agents like they are sheep heading to the slaughter house is in fact the reason why he is on here always trying to recruit.

Have you ever seen any of his agents get on the forum and tell us how wonderful FE telesales are?

Have you ever here him mention that is has agents that have been with him for over 2 years?

Have you ever come across any of his posts that clarify the wonderful FE telesales op?

I actually believe that he does do pretty well with telesales himself. I don't know why I believe that but I do.

But the guy is dishonest. I don't really need to know anything else about him after that.

I ask for the person on the card and once i have that person on the phone;

"Mr. Jones, this is JD with {my company} and we are people that you sent in a request for information about our final expense life insurance plans and I'm the guy that takes care of that in your town. I'm calling today because I'm going to be there tomorrow and I need 10 minutes of your time to go over that. Does 10:00 in the morning work for you?"

That's it. It only varies from that depending on what they say. Once the 10 o'clock appointment is set then I will ask for 11:30 until I have 6 appointments for the day. Then I stop.

I have been calling on leads this morning. I asked Newby for advice on setting the appt and he gave me pretty much the same thing. I didn't write it down so I was going off memory and fumbling it up and getting alot of rejections(even had one lady hyperventilate and hang up). I seen this post and used it to the T and set 3 appts on next 5 calls. It's so quick and simple I feel like people aren't going to remember the appointment.
I'm going to try and set 3 more and see how it goes tomorrow. I will not be reporting back unless I have a great day. :)

That can be a problem that it's so short and simple they forget. One thing I do to fight that that is confirm the address and then ask for directions. Even if I know about where it is and I do have a GPS in my car I still ask. Not always ask for directions but if it "feels" like I need to. I always confirm the address. These folks do move.

I always confirm addresses even with current clients. I have had enough people move on me to know how annoying it is. I might try asking for directions though. That can be annoying though to. Don't you love the people that describe every building on the route to their house? :goofy:

Hmmmm.........I only recruit in Va. and NC, not nationwide. I like for my agents to come get some one-on-one training. If you'll notice in my signature line I train both field sales and tele-sales. Neither way is really superior than the other, it all depends on what the agent prefers. I've had agents fail with field sales and also fail with tele-sales. I've also had agents flourish with field sales and flourish with tele-sales. About 1/2 of my 32 agents do face 2 face and about 1/2 do tele-sales.

I think that I've offered some helpful nuggets up here concerning selling FE. At least the phone calls I receive and occasional agent posts verify that.

But Gordon, just because you failed at tele-sales with Sr Life and also failed at field sales with Lincoln Heritage gives you as much credibility being a FE expert as Ms. Jones telling you "her bank messed her up".:D

I can't recall you EVER giving any helpful info on selling, working leads, etc. All you ever do is belly ache about one of the places you've failed at.

Whenever JD criticizes you like to jump on the band wagon, along with a couple of others. I've stood the test of time and will continue to stand the test of time.

Newby, with posts like this from JDEasy and Gordon, do you really think it would be beneficial to do that tele-sales webinar you were thinking about?

You can also ask what color is the house, and let them know what color your car is & that u will have your state id/badge on. I don't ask for directions, I ask for the main cross streets.
