Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet Danny. Thank you very much for the fast reply...

After careful consideration I have decided to double down on ME... and take it to the house today... making 3 sales. Thanks for the love and encouragement Danny, aka Russ.

BTW, good luck on hitting the daily-double yourself today... I am going for the Trifecta baby.

Employees at Shenandoah are upbeat this week, seems they feel a deal or something is in the works. From what I am hearing, they have no more idea than agents do as to what is coming down but they smell something that may be good. The regulators have done a great job of keeping what is going on under cover, which I guess is how it has to be.

If I worked there, I would have probably already been fired for snooping into what is going on.

Some of the top people have gotten other jobs, which may be a good thing because if Shenandoah is able to come back, I am sure it will not at first as busy as it was back when this mess started.

Here's hoping we are maybe going to see an end to this soon.

My question, if some company buys them out, what happens to the employees? They may all be out of jobs. Another question...how long does it usually take a company buy-out to be approved?

I think you would see most of, but probably not all, of the employees retained. They are trained and experienced at the jobs they do and live close enough to call Roanoke home. No company would want to import all new employees.

As far as the buy-out question, I think the real question would be has the de-mutualizing been accomplished by now. I do not know.

I think the regulators have the power to do what they feel best for the company, the policyholders, and they will also be protecting the State of VA.

When Settlers went through their mess in 1999, the State of Virginia made the agreement with National Guardian that they would keep the Home Office of Settlers in the State of Virginia for at least 4 years. It is still there.

If they don't feel 100% "safe" with Shenandoah, yes......

I just recently got licensed with Foresters and Settler's Life.

well since a client can't surrender their Shenandoah polices for the cash, are you having their take the reduced paid up value? At least you are getting a new first yr commission for your trouble. :)

I am surprised they haven't went into rehab, liquidation, or been restored/merged by now.
