Single Payor if Trump Gets Elected?

Rubio just voted for the debt increase. Here's his 2011 article about why he wouldn't vote for an increase. Marco Rubio: Why I Won't Vote to Raise the Debt Limit - WSJ "Raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure." So said then-Sen. Obama in 2006, when he voted against raising the debt ceiling by less than $800 billion to a new limit of $8.965 trillion. As America's debt now approaches its current $14.29 trillion limit, we are witnessing leadership failure of epic proportions. I will vote to defeat an increase in the debt limit unless it is the last one we ever authorize and is accompanied by a plan for fundamental tax reform, an overhaul of our regulatory structure, a cut to discretionary spending, a balanced-budget amendment, and reforms to save Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Here is him voting for 400B increase Cruz, Rubio Vote To Increase Debt By $400 Billion- Paul, Sanders Vote No Paul didn't vote for the increase having this to say: "Since coming to Washington, I have voted against every spending bill that continues to add to our nation's mountain of debt. Spending at the levels in this bill will add $400 billion more new debt this year. Time and time again, the President and Congress fail to do one of their most basic jobs, which is to review and adjust federal spending and fund the government. While I support all efforts to stop federal funding of Planned Parenthood, this bill is a clear representation of business as usual in Washington - too much spending and too much debt. The American people deserve better," Paul said

And what makes matters worse is tax revenues are at record levels.

Speaking of Rand Paul, never a good sign when you read something like this. Not to worry though. He has die-hard supporters or should I say supporter. Personally I dont see him being elected.

I am not seeing the confidence among donors:
The head of a super PAC backing Mr. Paul confirmed on Tuesday that he had halted fundraising efforts for the senator, adding that he did not want to "raise money for a futile crusade."

Poll Shows Why Rand Paul Is in Danger of Becoming an Also-Ran - Washington Wire - WSJ

funny, because it came out that they didn't suspend funding, they are sending a message. It also came out that all the media huff about him dropping out was from a rival campaign. But I don't expect you to be able to read between the lines Winter..

From WaPo
Last week, the impression that Paul might even leave the race was fed by articles in Politico and the Daily Mail, quoting the same anonymous "GOP strategist" in saying that "the stench of death" wafted from the Paul campaign. (The strategist, whose identity was confirmed by the Washington Post, does work for a rival campaign.)

Last night, CNN was saying that the Jeb Bush campaign people are panicking. Naturally, some candidates will drop out soon, giving bragging rights to the wanna-be news organization(s) who predicted it first.

Jeb's supporters have every right to be concerned. If they had any sense they never would have backed him to begin with.

Wonder how much longer Jindal, Christie, Huckabee, Paul, Kasich, etc will hang in.

I bet you must be looking forward then to seeing Rand Paul debate Hillary or Biden. I know that you were similarly adamant that Ron Paul was going to win. Too bad that Rand did not take a job in his fathers administration to get more experience. There is probably a reason for that.

My sister has a friend, who's husband's brother's friend, has a cousin that knows someone that had sex in the freezer at a 7-11 once...
:yes::yes::yes:

I think this all started with a communication problem. Some guy said he was going into the freezer to get a piece of ice and and the cousin heard something else.

Many of the pundits say that most often the more "likeable' candidate wins. The two noted exceptions was when Nixon beat Humphrey in 1968 and Carter beating Ford in 1976.

So just for the fun of it, why not accept the premise and tell us whom you think is most likable. Here is my take on the candidates:

Donald T. C'mon man! Who could like this guy? Fear? Sure. Like? Nope.

Hillary C.: People like whom they trust and no one trusts Hillary.

Joe B.: Everyone loves Joe... both sides of the aisle. Most likable of the bunch.

Rand P.: Once hinted he would repeal civil rights laws... minorities hate him.

Carley F.: Smug and lies like a rug. Would you buy a used computer from her?

John K: Ohio midwestern virtues... the adult in the room, very likable

Ben C: Distant, aloof, not a guy you want to have a beer or a toke with.

Chris C.: Kinda like the coach you had in gym class... whom you hated.

Mike H.: Nice smooth demeanor but down deep you feel he despises you.

Bobby J.: If he has a personality he has it well hidden. You can't like a robot!

Jeb B.: The Bush family is just plain nice. People like them all.

Rick S.: Exudes arrogance and pomposity. Hard to like, easy to dislike.

Ted C.: This is Rick S. on steroids. Even his mother doesn't like him.

Mark R.: Young, eloquent, smart. Easy to admire, not sure to like.

Lindsey G.: Another adult in the room with a good smile and a likable personality.

George P.: Has that New York kind of 'tude' ... all biz... no fun.

Martin O.: Great smile, popular guy in Maryland... very likable.

Bernie S.: He reminds you of the pompous professor you had in college whom you hated.
