Single Payor if Trump Gets Elected?

Due to politics being a moving target for both voters and politicians, the "I side with" Political Quiz has been updated and enhanced, should any of you want to take it again. I just did, and learned that I'm a "Right-Wing Authoritarian", with Mike Huckabee replacing Donald Trump as best match.

My top two were Rubio and Rand.

Im still waiting to hear anything specific from the candidates about what to replace ACA with. Even Rand Paul is uncharacteristically vague about this issue, basically he says to repeal, allow interstate purchasing of policies, & HSAs for all: https://www.randpaul.com/issue/health-care

Rubio just voted for the debt increase. Here's his 2011 article about why he wouldn't vote for an increase.
Marco Rubio: Why I Won't Vote to Raise the Debt Limit - WSJ

"Raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure." So said then-Sen. Obama in 2006, when he voted against raising the debt ceiling by less than $800 billion to a new limit of $8.965 trillion. As America's debt now approaches its current $14.29 trillion limit, we are witnessing leadership failure of epic proportions.

I will vote to defeat an increase in the debt limit unless it is the last one we ever authorize and is accompanied by a plan for fundamental tax reform, an overhaul of our regulatory structure, a cut to discretionary spending, a balanced-budget amendment, and reforms to save Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Here is him voting for 400B increase
Cruz, Rubio Vote To Increase Debt By $400 Billion- Paul, Sanders Vote No

Paul didn't vote for the increase having this to say:
"Since coming to Washington, I have voted against every spending bill that continues to add to our nation's mountain of debt. Spending at the levels in this bill will add $400 billion more new debt this year. Time and time again, the President and Congress fail to do one of their most basic jobs, which is to review and adjust federal spending and fund the government. While I support all efforts to stop federal funding of Planned Parenthood, this bill is a clear representation of business as usual in Washington – too much spending and too much debt. The American people deserve better," Paul said

Rand has nothing to do with Single Payor other than he wouldn't go for it, but troll on Winter!

Okay but we were talking about candidates and what their positions on single payor might be. Perhaps you could just open a separate thread on Rand Paul then if you just feel the need to share.

Rand Paul is the best hope for America. But he doesn't have a prayer.

I wish it was otherwise but no matter who wins this election the country is doomed.

Candidates who really WANT TO WIN should have alternatives already drawn up for the hot-button issues, like ObamaScrew, USA Squatters, etc.. shouldn't they? If not, they should stop diluting the focus, and drop out.

So what you are saying is that everyone should drop out? :D
