Starting in Final Expense

Is there one or two Final Expense companies that everyone should work with? I don't want to represent 15 or 20 companies, I would really just like one that pays me well, doesn't require E&O up front, and has some degree of ease to work with. 105% or higher up front would be nice with some decent renewals too. At 105% I could take a 6 month advance to help buy gas and fund leads! Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: thanks

Hey senior thanks for the apology. I can see how that might have looked since I am new to this board.

So far I have found some great tips on how to approach FE. I got interested in the product because one of my friends receives mailer leads in hand and goes door knocking without any phone contact. He writes an average of 3-4k in premiums weekly. I am not used to the door knocking approach but have seen how profitable it can be.

I read someone used a dialer in one of the previous posts and wondered how effective the dialers are? I have looked into buying one and from what I know they are still legal as long as you download the no call list.

I worked for an agency out of central PA that used a dialer for Final Expense. Leads were horrible. Stay away from dialers.

MOnumental Life pays 105 or a little more. NOt a bad company with decent rates and a lead program. I believe they take payments for E&O out of your commission. That could be a place to start. If I had to choose 2 companies it would be RNA and then Cincinatti for GI. You probably are not in a state for CIncy though.

Anyone familiar with Old American for Final Expense?

If you contact the company Old American Life Insurance Company they will put you in touch with a GA in your area. In my area their GA offered me free mailer leads. They're not free as they give you a contract with a lower % compensation. I took their deal to get started as lead money is scarce for me right now.

Don't know if this is the same everywhere or not.

I am new to the insurance business and would like to start my practice with a focus on Final Expense. I would like to work from home and, if possible, be independent. I am in Washington State. Any advice on how and with whom to get started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best thing to for you to do is a search on the forum. There are a million post on this subject. There are a lot of answers to your question. You could have a million different answer as to which company to get start with and how find the clients or which product to sell to them.

If you want to do FE... The only advice I can offer is "Move."
:nah:

Washington State is nearly impossible... All of the companies I am contracted with I don't know of one that offers FE products in Washington.

I am sure there are some, but none that I am aware of.
