Status Update About Voiceleads.us

I presume as much. I think he was driving a suburban so it probably was still derivable (at least enough to get away). Might have been drunk and/or not had a license, so that might have been a double win.

I had that happen to me once. Luckily the guys car stopped after 3 blocks. He didnt have insurance and I let the guy pay me for the damage over the next six months. I had to show up on his door step a few times but I did get all the money...

Free leads always spell trouble. Those 200% contracts are nice, it's just those full charge-backs if they lapse during the 1st 5 years that bothers me.

:) I was at the gym so I didn't have time to write it out but it is as follows:

105% or higher contracts
Discounted leads from certain providers
No production minimums
High residuals

All the good stuff!

CDS
CA life agent

I will add, he answers the phone or emails through west coast business hours.

So if no one gets caught, then it's ok to break a law? Like the guy that rear-ended my Passat and stuck me with the deductible and the insurance company with about a 10k repair bill, he shouldn't buy into that whole "hit and run being a criminal" BS, right?

Your comparison is weak. First off I never said it was ok to break the law, we have already established this is *technically* against the law and anyone that doesn't fee comfortable about it shouldn't buy the leads.

What I am saying is there is no evidence to support an agent would ever get in trouble unless they themselves owned the robo dialer and generated the leads. If the FTC cracked down and decided to fine the hell out of Voiceleads.us than that sucks for them but the problem is you guys pound your chests and act like they will go through the customer database and also go after the agent that bought $300 in leads 3 months prior.

It's highly unlikely an agent would EVER get in trouble for leads they purchased and I think that is fair to say. To suggest otherwise really is just fear mongering with absolutely no evidence to support it.

As far as your Passat comparison you need to take it a step further in order to make a true comparison. The person who rear ended your car and took off obviously is directly responsible and broke the law. BUT, if next week they somehow track down the car and the person driving it is his/her Mom because she borrowed it is she in trouble? No, of course not. They track down the owner and that person is in trouble, not the Mom who is borrowing the car just to go to the grocery store.

Bottom line is if you can't in good conscience buy these leads and sleep well at night that don't buy them. But if you do buy them from a lead vendor you might as well sleep very well at night cause you ain't getting in trouble. About as much trouble as registered MegaUpload users got into when the United States shut the site down and is taking them to court.........no trouble at all.

If you're the type of agent that is perfectly comfortable breaking the law that blatantly to get customers, you probably should have your licensed revoked. I imagine that if the Virginia Insurance Department caught using leads that were generated by criminal means they might not allow me to continue to have a license. Do you think I should ask them? Should you contact your state DOI just to make sure?
