Telesales and Placement

In your experience, what's an average placement and persistency for f2f?

Decent Final Expense agents will have placement and persistency above 90%.

Idk about averages, but I would guess an average agent would be closer to 80% on both those. And an excellent, top-tier agent would be 95% or higher.

Appreciate it--90% is what I've always heard f2f.

All I can think for the discrepancy between telesales and f2f placement is f2f must feel more "real," more like "business," vs telesales is like Home Shopping Network, Amazon or Temu.

There's also writing 45-50 people a month over the phone, more people = higher potential for NSF.

More people wouldn't change the percentage necessarily. But there is something to it. You will hear of agents bragging about 100% persistency then find out they write 25 applications a year. :D

Haha, one thing I love about sales is salespeople are often selling themselves, each other, everyone, everywhere, all the time.

Always be closing.

95% would be high for face-to-face. No way telesales agencies are doing that.
At SL our SLICE app allows us to do that. This is an example of not knowing what you just don't know, and also an example of spouting false info about something you just don't know about. Not trying to be mean just telling it like it is.

If SL didnt have the SLICE app then we'd probably have only an 80% placement rate too.

When talking placement, I'm including not-taken business - folks who get approved and never make their first payment.

Your telesales team doesn't do 95% based on that definition of placement. But I could see 95% of people getting approved. That doesn't mean the policy was in force.

Face-to-face has lots of advantages over telesales. Biggest thing is folks can't just hang up during the app process and you never get them back on the phone.
