Telesales - Brutal Truth

Doug,

How can you say you're this "master" at this business then come on here and say all of this???? Dude...it's speculation. You have very little experience about it. So why do you think YOU can tell this person all of this as fact.

Just because you failed at it and you didn't like doing and you like face to face doesn't mean you are the end all when it comes to this subject.

Over the years you have turned into one of these typical Forum turds on here. Im sorry. But you have jumped the shark.

It's funny how if someone doesn't post on here who is doing telesales then its all a lie and it simply can't work.:D

Have you thought maybe they don't want to come on here after reading all the bullshit you and your little cronies say on here??? Who the F%^k would want to deal with all that???

Now...I stoped hiring outside reps/work from home unless they reeeeeeeally knock my socks off. Not because it can't be done. It's because not a one ever does what they say the will and thats put the time in. Just like your field guys. If they aaaaaaalways have excuses not to work....then they dont work. So it's not a telesales thing?

Good business again...has nothing to do with F2F. Again...shows your lack of knowledge in this arena. You can have the same business in the field as over the phone if you don't know how to write it nor maintain. So lets put that crap to bed already. Those are typical "Im a field guy and can't wrap my mind around phone sales" comments. I know. I used to say the exact same bullshit.

Now...noncompetes. So there are NO...NONE no other field agencys that make agents sign these??? Um...pretty much all the major ones do. Now I don't personally know of but one IMO that has their agents in telesales sign a noncompete. So agin...you're making a broad assumption.

Now....let me insert one word and tell me how stupid this comment is.

If you are good at phone sales and have a strong work ethic, you have a good chance of being successful.

It's interesting how you can read what people type on this forum, and know the exact type of person that they are.

I'm more mature than daviso lol

Before you make that decision, you might want to consider a few things.

1. The ONLY guy that came on here with six figure agents, is running a call center. Are you willing to work in a call center environment?

2. The telesales placement and persistency is of the lowest in our industry. That means that if you do not stick with it and do not babysit your business effectively, you will see a huge amount of business fall off the books. This is a great way to end up owing lots of money back to the insurance carriers, and getting yourself vectored out of the life insurance industry.

3. Some of the telesales companies are requiring agents to sign a non compete. Be careful what you sign!

4. Since 2012 when I found this FE forum, I have NEVER seen ONE agent post on here that could be verified as having a six figure income from at home telesales MEANWHILE there are a bunch of us that are VERIFIABLY killing it selling Face to Face.

If your experience with sales is on the phone, I suggest that you try selling another form of insurance over the phone as the success rate is extreeeemely low with FE over the phone.

If you are good at face to face sales and have a strong work ethic, you have a good chance of being successful.

Now stop reading this nonsense and go sell something!:swoon:

Doug,

I bet per capita, the percentage of agents making 100k is the same, at least from the numbers I see at North Star.

Also, North Star does have agents working from home who are netting 100k too. Its not necessarily a call center thing, but I would agree, its MUCH more difficult to make it at home, due to the obvious distractions.

I think youre a great face to face guy, and maybe telesales wasn't your preference, but I can rattle off a list of agents who I personally know who failed at face to face sales and are doing pretty well in telesales. Many happen to be women for whatever reason.

Its TOTALLY a preference. I know some would disagree, but it is.

For the most part, however, I agree with your above analysis.

Hmm, I find that interesting!

As I mentioned before, not 1 agent has ever come on here that claimed to make over 100k selling FE from home, and this is the largest insurance forum in the country.

Only about a million members!:swoon:

It kinda doesn't make sense how all the locals know the guys making the 6 Figs and yet, zero from home come here.... zero

And the guys working from home are behind the computers 24/7 lol

Seems there's one agent that posts here that claims to do that. That agent is not chained to a desk and he also generates his own leads. Truly a unicorn.

The rest of those claims come from the marketers.

Who is this person you speak of?

I think doing telesales would be cool if it were viable.
