The Current State Of ObamaCare - ACA

"Medicare for all" will create larger deficits and ration health care more than it is now.

Well now there are other ways to look at this.
Lets say for example US GDP is $100 a yr and healthcare spending is $20 a yr.
Healthcare spending relative to GDP in this example is 20%.
Now lets suppose Medicare for all reduces healthcare spending to $15 a yr.
Now as a result of people not having to spend so much time, energy and lost productivity on health insurance decisions and all the morass that goes with it our GDP goes up to $120 a year. Our healthcare spending relative to GDP is now at 12.5%.

Very simple example I know....just something to consider.

Ooops. I guess the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says your dream is just that....Your next already debunked theory?

By the way, how much 'time, energy and lost productivity' are you going to claim currently takes place that would increase the GDP by a full 20%? Really? How do you even come up with this crap?

So GDP would not increase??? You pick the the number then.....I offered a simple example and I said as much....what is your freakin problem????

His problem is that your solution is oversimplified. It doesn't fit the model at all. Now, I'm definitely a liberal, and I want to see PPACA succeed, but giving oversimplified answers doesn't help.

Free or not, who wants to go to the Doc? We didn't just enroll a bunch of seniors that tend to be obsessive with their health. Do you fear the enrollees are hypochondriacs?

We did just enroll a lot of people that couldn't get coverage because of preexisting conditions. Now they'll be able to get treated. The costs will even out after a few years, but it's going to be very expensive until at least 2016.

The question is, are you for the 87% or the 13%?

Consumers OK with extra PPACA fees | LifeHealthPro

Only 13 percent of Americans say their health insurance situation has improved compared to one year ago. Americans reporting higher monthly health care spending outnumber those reporting lower spending by a ratio of greater than 4-to-1, Bankrate said.

The other question is how many of those people would report higher monthly health care spending anyway because a)They're getting older and b)Insurance premiums go up every year and benefits go down?
