The Master Plan

Steele is the one who should be appointing someone as "the leader." The fact that he hasn't is testimony to his uselessness as a Party Chairman.

Although I'd like to agree in principle, you've got to consider the reality of the cesspool that is politics in America. First, consider the attention span of the average American (quite short), unless we're talking scandal....

Too many liabilities to putting someone out as a candidate for 2012 this early in the game....it's a basic mantra of presidential politics, the longer you stick your head out there, the better chance of someone cutting it off.....I have a hard time believing that with where the republican party is now, that there isn't a plan, however, you simply don't put someone out there with a target on their back for 2-3 years....

I hope....

America has a country to run 24/7 right here right now. The Republicans are the Loyal Opposition and there are positions and platforms and issues that require leadership each and every day and therefore the Republicans need to be on the ball and providing leadership everyday. Too many people, have Al's point of view, which is they tune everything out except presidential elections and nothing else matters as long as their person wins.

Who the Republicans will put up for a candidate in 2012 is an important issue with important implications. One of the ways I will be judging that person is what they are doing right now to make this country work or to advance their issues. I am not looking for another prima donna to show up and be a flash in the pan.

There are plenty of issues going right now. PLENTY. If a republican cannot take a position, have some ideas, and stop this country from going down the tubes then they are as worthless as tits on a nun. Oh yeh, big election in November. Gonna turn everything around. Be reaching pretty far down the toilet to pull some things back based on the current strategy to not have a strategy until election time.

I get it, and I believe most of America gets it. Obamacare bad...China buying all the states except California, and that now goes to Mexico. Right..

Romney looks good, and can deliver a decent speech without relying on teleprompters.

But he is really just another politician.

He campaigned in MI and told auto workers as prez, he would do everything in his power to restore jobs.

McCain followed him a week later and told the truth. The jobs would not return.

Somarco,

I'll remember that campaign in Michigan. It always epitomizes a politician and frankly how stupid the voting public can be. McCain spoke the ugly truth and Romney came right behind him (as I remember it) and told the people what they wanted to hear. The next day Romney won hands down. We only hear what we want to hear.

I think that might be a good change for California. I eat Mexican food at least 4 days a week and Latinas are pretty damn hot! (At least the waitresses at the restaurants when I eat at least 4 days a week.)
