Gawd, another big clarifying speech coming up. How many of these frigging things do we need? And Axelrod says Obama is "going to start getting active." Huh? How much more of his face do we need to see on this issue. (let me guess, "we have a health care system that works for insurance companies but not patients, we won't deny for pre-existing conditions, and your insurance company wont be able to cancel your coverage if you get sick" I can't do this rap in my sleep at this point). And if Axelrod means that he is going to start getting active in the legislative process with Congress then WTF. What the hell has His Holiness been waiting for?
He is trying to just keep campaigning on health reform and hoping that Congress will come up with something good. How the hell can he be explaining to us what his plan is when he does not have one. The traditional, time-honored way is for the White House to draft a bill and have it introduced and then hold public hearings on the details of the bill. But no, Joe Cool has his own way. He will just be up on the top of the mountain observing and seeing what looks good and what does not. Public hearings? No again. That is old fashioned. President Joe Cool wants "town hall meetings." (how is that working out Mr. Cool)
What a frigging mess. I dont need to see his face on TV anymore as a substitute for a bill that he stands behind. He is overexposed, as it were. Now, he wants to come down from Mt. Olympus and show that he is the leader of compromise except no one knows where he is compromising because no one knows what he said was essential to begin with. (public option being a prime example).
I need to see less of him, not more. Only a complete inept would try to bring about reform involving 1/6 of the economy by just tossing it over the wall to Congress and letting them fight it out.
What a mess. Wayyy too much Obama as a substitute for a White House sponsored bill. Contrary to what the dems say, I am not just a conservative saying that this is Obama's Waterloo. I am saying this is one of two or three Waterloos brewing right now. I am piss.
