As to recruiting, the videos certainly would help him recruit if he wanted to recruit. Back in November when I decided to give this FE thing a full time crack and went looking for an FE IMO so I could get trained up, I called Doug. Based on the quality of his videos, I felt I'd get the training I knew I needed. Doug wouldn't take me. In fact, he treated me like an HIV-positive CHF patient with a Netspend card, and told me to go to Lincoln Heritage or EFES and call him in a year. He explicitly stated he didn't want to start dropping mail for me and then get stuck for it if I quit.
Unfortunately, you may have taken our conversation wrong. I clearly stated that the best chances for your success would be to start with a LOCAL agency that could give you Face to Face training and provide you with Ride-Alongs. The agents that have taken this advice, then called me after they get through their first few months of FE sales, have reaped the rewards of said advice.
When considering potential recruits, I do not attempt to recruit everyone who can fog a mirror. My objective is to always put each agent in a better position, than where they currently are. If I think an agent can do better elsewhere, I point them in that direction.
