As to recruiting, the videos certainly would help him recruit if he wanted to recruit. Back in November when I decided to give this FE thing a full time crack and went looking for an FE IMO so I could get trained up, I called Doug. Based on the quality of his videos, I felt I'd get the training I knew I needed. Doug wouldn't take me. In fact, he treated me like an HIV-positive CHF patient with a Netspend card, and told me to go to Lincoln Heritage or EFES and call him in a year. He explicitly stated he didn't want to start dropping mail for me and then get stuck for it if I quit.

Unfortunately, you may have taken our conversation wrong. I clearly stated that the best chances for your success would be to start with a LOCAL agency that could give you Face to Face training and provide you with Ride-Alongs. The agents that have taken this advice, then called me after they get through their first few months of FE sales, have reaped the rewards of said advice.

When considering potential recruits, I do not attempt to recruit everyone who can fog a mirror. My objective is to always put each agent in a better position, than where they currently are. If I think an agent can do better elsewhere, I point them in that direction.

I used this video today to help me scrub a Trans app before sending it in for the Trans Smooth-Approve process. I am subscribed to Doug's channel, and I have found his videos to be very helpful. I have given several "likes."

I have a ton of respect for you Doug, but I'm working hard to make it so that it is clear that that is your loss, not mine. I sure do appreciate your videos. They are very helpful to the new/newer agent, and I have no idea why anyone would object to you sharing them here.

Kinda sounds like there is not one right way to do what we do. In the last month I have read about agents doing F2F, Telesales, Door knocking, Internet leads both bought and self generated.

And pretty much it has been shared kinda sorta OK.

Although you definitely expressed a desire not to get burnt on another new agent ordering mail and then skipping town. But I understood that as well. You do good work with your youtube channel and I hope you keep at it.

Not sure why you insist on twisting my words but I never said anything about getting burnt from an agent that ordered leads and skipped town! That doesn't happen with our agents as we have an up front, signed understanding.

I do remember telling you that we had an agent that got on DM leads. He never even memorized a presentation and was ill prepared for the field. After 3 weeks of only making a couple sales, he stopped his lead order and ended up buying a butt-ton of leads that he didn't even work!

You may think I have inaccurately remembered what you said. Perhaps I have. But "twisting your words?" Why on earth would I do that? I did nothing but compliment you and defend your practice of sharing your videos here.

Of course I remember that story. I just remember it having a different ending than the one you put on it just now. Perhaps I am mistaken. Then again, perhaps you are. So we disagree. If it bothered you, a simple PM asking me to delete it would have been all it would have taken to make it disappear. I would have much preferred that to whatever this has become. I come in peace, dude.

Yes I agree, personal mentoring is such a key for long term high level success in this industry. If someone can find a good turn-key system where every aspect of the business is covered in an efficient training format and be a part of a cohesive team where everyone is pulling in the same direction together it's going to be hard to fail. And, it's definitely a plus if you have an up-line who is willing to sacrifice his time and energy to get you out in the field for a few days with him and show you everything he's got!

If someone can find a good turn-key system where every aspect of the business is covered in an efficient training format and be a part of a cohesive team where everyone is pulling in the same direction together it's going to be hard to fail. And, it's definitely a plus if you have an up-line who is willing to sacrifice his time and energy to get you out in the field for a few days with him and show you everything he's got!
