I've been working with Asurea as an independent, and buying my leads from them. I like their lead program a lot. I feel that there are no 'good' or 'bad' leads, but from the standpoint of returns, there are good and bad areas to work. I order my leads by zip code, and the returns have been consistent in both area and in numbers.

the telemarket leads are based on area code. It's conceivable that 2 leads could be 50 miles apart, or that you have an isolated lead somewhere that kills half a day to get to. I prefer working DM, and for that reason, never tried the phone leads.

While Monumental has a good and well-known discounted direct mail lead program, one I am also hearing good things about is the one with Security National Life. For every $2,500 in placed business, you get a 1,000 piece mailer for $200 through Target Leads. Haven't used it personally, but I have a friend who uses them....he's very satisfied, from the way it sounds.

Don't listen to him. California is taken. Especially south of the Grapevine. You have to drop mail out side the state.
