Website Opinions

Hey Everyone,

So I finally launched my new website about a month ago and is being submitted to directories right now. What do you guys think? What can be improved?

Your submitting your site to Directories? I can only think of 3 that really matter.

Your security symbols at the bottom are bogus!

Did a Quick search on the BBB and your not even listed. Talk about Misleading.

The web seems to be getting POLLUTED lately, to many insurance sites/ads I think. I think people still really want face to face especially for long term relations.

IMHO you, sir, could not be more wrong. Not saying no one wants F2F, some still do, but that is certainly not the way of the future.

What does it matter what other agents think about your (or any other) website? Are agents your customers? Secondly, will other agents actually tell you what they really feel?

You've had this site up for a month. So is it working for you? Are you getting the response you want from it? Are people calling you and saying "I saw your site and it tells me that you are the guy I want to deal with?" If so, then keep it. If not, then change it.

You can ask in this forum or any other forum what other agents think until the moon turns blue (which it did last week!) but in the final analysis the site either works for you or it doesn't... and there are very few agents who can tell you what WILL work for you since every market is somewhat different.

Well obviously Al, I'm not going to rely solely on my website. Is it too much to ask for an opinion?

Geez Loueez, calm down man

I think it looks amazing, what did you use to design it? I am guessing Drupal or Joomla. How was the experience working with the software? As a Wordpress guy, I have yet to take the plunge into these as they are a bit more complex.

haha Drupal? Joomla? more like hand coded and designed from scratch. Thanks for the compliment =)

Which 3 directories really matter? Thanks.

Yahoo Directory, Best of The Web and Business.com.

dmoz used to be the hit, but problems with cocky editors have faded the authority that dmoz used to have. A link in dmoz can't hurt but it also can't really help as much as it used to.

Btw, visually that site is very attractive. Dreamweaver is a very powerful thing when you know how to use it properly.

You're going to get sued. Somebody is going to report you if they haven't already.

For both you and Dave, maybe because I am in the process of getting this done. Did you ever think of that? obviously if I have it up I intend to link it to the appropriate profiles once everything goes through. Calm down.
