There is no reason to remove an entire thread. I can see having a moderator come in and edit or even delete an individual post, but removing a thread is counter to the intent of a forum in the first place.

Yeah, earlier today I got an email that todd replied, clicked on it, and the thread vanished. Never saw what he wrote. Seemed mostly civil (what I saw), but LD did get his feathers ruffled over something.

The funny thing is that I was pretty cordial in that last reply, but yet straight forward. Who knows why it was deleted.

You know, that reminds me of a Facebook insurance group I was on. Members would post horrific MVR reports of people they tried to sell insurance to, MVR's with 10 or 15 points, accidents, dui's, speeding, etc. Every time it horrified me. Trying to write insurance for someone like that, is like selling a handgun to an angry drunk. So I'd lay into these sleazy money hungry unethical agents. My threads were deleted, and I was eventually kicked out of the group.

I guarantee those drivers have killed and permanently disabled other people, but hey, those agents made a little commission in the process so I guess it's ok. Either way, my threads were deleted and I was kicked out of the group.

Clearly lack of insurance wasn't going to stop these people from driving. By having insurance, at least there was something for the person they hit.
