When do you quit actively quit pursuing a lead?

I used to figure I would give up once they die or once they buy as it was hard to replace a cemetery plot; but in final expense even if they buy (from someone else) if they will still talk and have an open mind they could still be fair game. If they start contradicting themselves acting all neurotic and even look at me wrong I would smile and leave. The crazies normally show themselves early in the game. Perhaps they just need to be someone else's crazies.
Again, I am asking about how many times you attempt to contact a lead without making contact before you toss it.

You are talking about how many times do you follow up after contacting them.. Different situation, but an interesting question.

That's not true. They simply block your # if you call 2-3 times knowing its a solicitor. Many you'll never get in touch with. Cell phone carriers also have screening software.

That's when I turn on my "VistU" app. They have screening software for unwanted calls and text, but they don't have anything that stops you from knocking on their screen door.

Actually most of the chase is getting in the door, so as long as I can make it better I will return. Also if you know you are returning and especially unannounced it is wise to get at least one more lead or prospect as close as possible hopefully next time park car get two chances not one. If they didn't buy I always figured the dime is on them. Most the time once you got in the door the match was half over. In reality they want to buy or they wouldn't talk to anyone they just don't know who to trust.

I'll try 6 or so door knocks and 5-10 phone calls over a 4 week period. After that they go in files and I'll use if leads slow.I also started using delivery receipts about 2 months ago which are getting at least 70% call backs to me .

70%, man that's remarkable, if you don't mind sharing, what's the message that you use on your delivery receipts, and what exactly do you tell them when they call you back?
