Who Only Works Appointments and Makes a Great Living?

Everyone knows JD gets 10 rock solid appts from 15 leads . But beyond JD who only works appts and does not worry about door knocking?? I have never met a producer who is 100 percent appointments that isn't a marketer. Do they exist? IMHO no way. Unless 40 plus leads.cold door knocking is the bread and butter of this business.

Can you explain in your own words, analysis, and reflection why appointments will be so much less efficient that it shall fall under the category of not effective?

Parroting what you heard or think should be the case won't cut it with the bold claim you made.

How much time and effort would it take me to find the money in those leads with no phone numbers?


I have an agent here in town that runs most of those "no phone number" leads for me and we split the business. He gets free leads and I get free money without the effort. It is a win-win for both of us


If I was low on funds or in the first couple of years of my career then I would definitely knock them myself. But I'm at a different stage now.

Just counted my latest batch, out of 31 cards 6 no numbers and 1 with number but don't call. Probably about the average for no numbers. Like the idea of splitting with another agent.

I know there are producer who write only on appts. However I'm the opposite. Write purely door knocking. average 5k a week in ap. So Id say the biggest thing is picking something that works for you and sticking with it. If you like the phones call and set appts. If your like me then don't.

Are you cold knocking or are you knocking on lead cards (or TM leads, or carrier pigeon leads, or ...you get my drift)?

Travis uses blunt truth taken to the extreme mixed with tough love for the agents. He can come across like a single-minded drill sergeant at times but I've never seen anyone that can take a raw agent and get him producing consistent big numbers like TT can.

I never called him a shill. He probably is a great agent but there is no question fex is taking care of him for his services in some form or fashion for herding sheep by making this business seem full of lovely people who answer the phone and love having agents in their house soliciting insurance.. No one is excited about buying burial insurance. JD literally makes it sound like people are waiting by the phone ready to have a lovely conversation about their burial expenses and if they are not ready to buy one is incompetant. Not to mention his disrespect for todd daviso. Todd is a final expense superstar and great person.

As for Todd Daviso, you are not only a liar but an *** liar. He has never been a producer and that's a fact. The dude can't sell. No wonder you hold him in high esteem since you can't sell either.

As for great person, that's subjective. But when a lowlife is arguing with someone and then brings their family into the argument they are certainly not in the category of great person. Unless one is just like him?
