I have had agents put up those numbers but not on a consistent basis. The thing about telesales is most agents have a set schedule they work. 8-5 4-8 something like that. So while they may work 5 days to write 10k (Which is a really good week) they do so in 40 hrs.

When I doorknocked my leads, I would write 3-4K in a day on pretty regular basis but I would work (time I left my home until in returned) 12-16 hrs.

of course you can. your sales (which impressive) are a direct result of your leads and activity. period. you are not a magic agent and your prospects didn't call you asking you to take their $63.57 a month for the Burial plan. You had to work your leads, strategically, to see them and close them. You could have all the talent in the world, but without leads or activity, you would have no one to talk to.....The same can be done over the phone.

Here is why MOST agents will fail miserable at phone sales...lack of system/process and mostly....90% of the reason....lack of work ethic. 90% of agents do not work an honest persons working day. They just don't. They say they do, heck many of them actully believe they are working.....And they give 100 reasons why they don't. Unless you have a referal source feeding you with a daily supply of leads, a downline paying you tens of thousands of dollars a year in overrides, or a book of business (like medicare can pay) paying you so much reoccuring revenue....you have to eat, sleep. shit, and devour activity in this industry to make it. There is no other formula.

In FE phone sales you can buy a $20 live transfer, get 2 minutes to "qualify it" and turn it down for whatever reason...and have those live transfers coming in all day long. How many of those do you think you can close on a daily basis? 1? 3? You can even buy them medically filtered (no diabetes, no etc). So without work ethic and a system/process to handle and be effective....it is be failure.

The best part is there are groups out there (for a reduction in commission) that will hand feed you the entire system and leads...all you have to do is put on a headset and go to work. How great is that?

Also the reason most fail at F2F sales ... also the reason most people who enter the sales profession fail out quickly no matter the product or service being sold. I myself had thought I was working this business hard ... until I spent a month actually working this business hard. That doesn't mean there will no longer be days that I do no work as hard as I ought, but it does mean that I am now well aware of when I am working it hard and when I am being lazy.

I once read about a guy back in the 70's or 80's who sold Rolls Royce automobiles ... by phone! If you can sell a car with a six-figure price tag over the phone in the days before the internet, there is probably no limit to what can be sold by phone, imo.

They were more affordable then. Apparently they have increased in price because of the internet . . . .

To have success in telesales you need to have people calling in to you via a TV commercial or a radio. Buying cheap web leads and calling them will drive you nuts. I run ads on TV and close between 25 and 30 percent of them. I get about 75 to 100 leads per month, I have been doing this since 2008. If you want some tips and info shoot me as message as we are in the process of figuring out a way to sell calls as we get too many sometimes. Our cost runs about $50-$60 per call.
