38 Yr Old Male, Hrt Attk Surgery/stints 2 Yrs, 2 Mos. Ago

Thx, goillini52.

So the reality here is the 38 year old male IS being treated for the Heart Attack with Meds since the event in January 2013 and wouldn't qualify for coverage, and the Nitrostat is the unquestioned issue. Thanks for all your comments and assistance.

Forget about what I said about Standard Life & Accident not doing script checks. I just called and talked to an Underwriter about your case. He said that if the app is clean and no MIB hit, they don't do a script check. He said in your case they would. I told him that's not the way the UW guide reads. We went back and forth and I ended up telling him that I might as well throw that UW guide in the garbage. He told me I could do whatever I wanted with it. I think that's exactly what I'll do...along with their apps!

Sorry for the info I put out there. I was just posting what their UW guide said. Please disregard.

Yeah goillini52, I went around with them (UW) last week. The key word in the question is 'treat'; which means Prescriptions and means on-going major medical issue. Used to work with Northwestern Mutual, so got schooled on interpreting conservative UW terminology by UW Dept., for UW Dept. It depends what IS, is.
