ACA Express -vs- HealthSherpa

Not happy with Sherpa today. Very sluggish, timed out a few times, error messages. PLUS, what is the deal with the long application?? It might even be faster to just go right into healthcare.gov. Where did the 2 minute app go from last year? Plus, no payment option anymore at the end of submission for taking care of the binder payment.
Oh, not to mention two new insurers I am appointed with are not coming up on my list of insurers I can add to my profile, but they do come up on the quote. Not cool!

While we did have a few glitches earlier today they have all been for the most part, 95%+, resolved and we are seeing tons of apps pushed through.

ACAEXPRESS IS ROCKING IT TODAY!

I know I should know the answer to this, but I'm coming in late to the game.

I've had some clients that have gotten their renewal information from BCBSTX with their rate increase (most are 50% or more, saw a 95% today). If income/dependents are staying the same, is there really a need to go into Sherpa (or ACA Express...I have apps with both WB) to go in and physically renew the policy?

Won't the subsidy just naturally recalculate and go into effect 1/1? I would assume they would be receiving their new subsidy amounts in the mail sometime soon?

Thanks all!

That of course your prerogative but...
- Will they get the best plan for them? i.e. might need to choose a different one
- If they call BCBS TX support and via them select a plan it is quite likely that BCBS TX will then be the agent not you..

I just logged into ACA express from my iPad and when I click on quote. Nothing happens. Is it not iPad friendly now? I've tried chrome and safari

I worry about you Allen. All apps will eventually see the redirect connection at every wbe

The enrollment process via ACAExpress is the same for ALL WBE's (Web Broker Entities) in that the "Launch Marketplace" portion exists. We are seeing most applications completed in 5 minutes by agents though yes some take longer. The redirect does have the advantage of handling situations where, for example as there are many others, a child is denied medicaid and you need to include them.

Stay tuned as we are slated to launch a solution which will speed up the process in a few days!

Quoting for clients on iPad still doesn't work. Is this not supported anymore?

I just went through two apps from beginning to end on a 2nd gen iPad, one through Client Facing Site and the other through Agent Dashboard.

Granted a couple screens were slow to draw, though not 100% sure if due to the iPad being so slow or not, but it did work for me.

Where did Sherpa go? Not seeing anywhere as much action for that WEB.

Any ideas?

Don't take this as a desperate need to know...just curious.
