AETNA EXITING 2,618 MAPD PLANS IN 2025 ACROSS THE COUNTRY - DAMN

Just received notice today that Aetna will be exiting over 2,600 plans across the country for 2025. The list is massive. As of Monday we will no longer be able to enroll anyone into these plans on Sunfire or Connecture. Paper applications can still be used but you would have to re-write them to a new plan in 2025. I have been notified that Aetna will not crosswalk anyone, they will have to be re-written or you can use Guaranteed issue to get them into a Med Supp.
Lot of work for AEP !
Why is use of Sunfire or Connecture not allowed? Is that just temporary or permanent?
Aetna is a plan that manages to disrupt every AEP.

I missed this in your original post. This is very hard to believe. Where'd you get the information? I'm not questioning you, I'm questioning the information provided to you.

I'm talking about the remark on Connecture and SunFire.
Also provided by my NMA and confirmed again this morning with Aetna Management. You can still use Think Advisor to enroll people in these plans that are exiting, but that seems like a waste of time since they will have to be re-written in 3 months

You can still use Sunfire and Connecture for all plans that are not exiting. I just received word that agents can still use Think Agent for all plans until the end of the year but I don't know why you would enroll someone in a plan for 3 months and then have to re-write them. I would just write them in a different plan that is not exiting

Ahhh okay this makes more sense. I thought you were saying Aetna intended to stop all plan enrollments (nationwide) through those platforms.

Just heard on an Aetna webinar that they are only offering ONE PDP for next year, Silverscript Choice, and IT WILL BE NON-COMMISSIONABLE! Supposedly if you already have people in the Choice plan you will continue to receive commissions. According to the rep on the call, other SS PDP plans are terminating, but if you apply clients on these other SS plans for the remaining Choice plan you will receive a commission since you already had them on a SS plan.....even though the Choice plan isn't supposed to pay commissions for new 2025 applications if that makes sense.
