Direct Express cards, okay yeah they probably don't manage money well or even at all... But on the contrary about credit unions. Some of the best money managing clients I've had bank at a credit union.

I treat kemba people the same as direct express. I'm sure there are other credit unions out there that have responsible consumers.

Don't worry about it. I wasn't offended in any way. But you make far to many assumptions about people based on generalities. I was serious about maybe you should find another market to work. Life is much too short to go through it trying to do business with people you neither like nor respect. And, just becasue a person is a poor money manager is no reason to put them down.

By far the most rewarding part of this work is getting to help people who don't think they can get coverage because of their health. Sure, they probably made bad choices that led to their being in the FE market. Still rewarding to help someone and give them peace of mind.

I disagree.. Not everybody was born with the same talents or skills. On the other hand, maybe we should be thankful there are people who are not good money managers.. If it weren't for them there would be no FE market. I always like the fact that JD speaks of them as "my people". Even though I am sure he gets irritated with some, by and large he likes the people he works with.

I treat people who treat me well like my grandmother or grandfather but the sad fact of this business is when you are working in the hood u better be tough as nails and be ready to act like a cop with these people. I have seen robberies take place right in front of me. I have no disdain to anyone in this market but if you are not mentally tough and assertive you might as well dig yourself a grave. Sorry I don't work the nice country folks:(
