Anyone Writing Assurity Simplified Whole Life?

Assurity does except COPD on a level basis if the not on H2O. For instance if they are on Nebulizer/Albuterol.. Worth checking..I made the mistake of not doing a little research..

Yep, that's how I know someone's in BAD shape when I walk to the door. Water tanks all over the place.:D:D

Just kidding we all know what you mean, I just couldn't hep myself.

is there anyone actively writing a lot of Assurity Simplified Issue Whole Life?

Here in Louisiana they seem to have very good rates (as long as you do not have any medical conditions) but look to be extremely strict.

Any input about Assurity SIWL would be appreciated.

Ron

Ron,

I am going to be in your area within the next couple of weeks and would like the opportunity to stop in and visit with you regarding final expense.

Sent you an e-mail earlier form work...home office said that yu were looking for information on products.

According to Assurity's SIWL application:
Section A Question 2:

" had chronic respiratory disease such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or emphysema; had been treated with oxygen;

This tells me that COPD is a deal killer alone. I will contact underwriting to find out for sure but I believe one is wasting their time with Assurity if they have a prospect with COPD.

I did have one today I thought I could send to Assurity graded instead of modified like the rest but there is always a deal killer in the works, and for this one there was diabetes and a stent and pacemaker installed within the last year, and she is only 50. But on the good side I am going to write her 74 year old mom up level...go figure.

Assurity sure don't like diabetes. I'll send the daughter to either AmAm or Foresters. If anyone has any other ideas I would appreciate it.

Ron,
Did a risk assessment with them today and they gave me flying colors on the COPD without H20..Nebulizer which gets confused as H2O and got day 1 benefit..We should start a COPD mailer..lol

Somebody was stoned in his high school chemistry class. If you combine two hydrogen atoms to one oxygen atom, you get pure vodka not breathable oxygen (O2).

I haven't written Final Expense with Assurity, usually only 20-30yr terms with them. I put most of my FE with Lincoln Heritage.

Assurity is a great company though. You have to call their underwriters for the different tables to write under because they don't have a published underwriting guideline. But I have gotten a client with COPD approved. It was a couple of years ago so I can't remember how we classified it
