ASAP PLEASE Need rate for Bankers life.. possible unethical replacement

yeah. I used to work F2F. You still have stupid crap like this. The funny thing was my "x" client said "my daughter was even here when the other agent was here, we got a really good deal" so I'm more so thinking the daughter was probably getting excited hearing "$20,000" and probably influenced a lot of it. Sounds like a case of Greed from the agent and possibly from the daughter. Regardless my persistency since I have been selling Over the phone has not been any less than when I was F2F. Although, there are times like these that would be super beneficial to go knock on his door.... it is certainly a bit harder to sell over the phone.

Sadly... clients hear what they want to hear... this is why Annuities have become such a lighting rod in the compliance aspect.

I had the same thing happen to me.The Bankers life agent told my client it was an accidental policy, when it wasn't.In the beginning , I sold him a Vantis modified whole life.

It sucks, I feel you. This person was obviously a price shopper. One thing I hated about the insurance industry are the charge backs. To put so much effort with the paperwork and getting someone approved only for them to cancel.

Times are changing and so is the generations that buy life insurance. Insurance companies don't care that you spent your wheels either. This is probably one of the reasons why you don't see as many people jumping into the insurance industry. I believe the days of driving to a customers home and doing a presentation are over. We have so many tools that are more productive with our time besides sitting in traffic.

I got join.me or gotomeeting and did presentations that way. I found it to be a lot more productive. I also had to learn I had self worth. If you want me to drive and take my time I am writing a policy and I collect full years premium on the spot.

I met an agent from SW Virginia years ago who sold mortgage protection. He said he wouldn't bother to turn the ignition unless it had been made a done deal over the phone first. I remember thinking he was nuts, but apparently he was ahead of his time.

This is exactly the reason I started selling over the phone. At least I didn't set an appointment, drive out there, do the paperwork , blah blah blah . Oh well.

Every appointment has a neighbor... its called "shoe leather marketing" ... I know its not for the faint at heart, nor is it for those who just think they can sale...

I must be older and crustier than I thought...

Devil's advocate question...please don't take offense.

OP got him 10K coverage for $138/mo

Bankers got him 10K coverage + $10K accidental (we're assuming) for $115/mo

Isn't the consumer better off now?
