Per agent guide... A PHI is required on all applicants age 40+ It is recommended to be done at POS, but they will call later if not done at POS.

They have changed that since then.

I'm definitely no disability insurance expert. I have a small disability policy on myself through Assurity. But I didn't pick them through any real meticulous research.

I just knew I needed some and I was tired of procrastinating.

Rule is this. Under 60 is at underwriters discretion. 60 and older is required. So if something shows up under 60, they might need to call them. Hope this helps.
