I was using d 2 d surveying alone for my business and
made around 10 k a month doing so but now I am cold calling
businesses. I mostly do annuity and life business. I am wondering
how many cold calls it should take to find a good sale and need
some tips/encouragement for calling the business

Financially I am strapped right now. I need to get ahead again.

What killed the d2d surveying?
 
Out of every 100 dials you should get somewhere around 1-3 leads and convert somewhere around 25% of those. Annuities are very difficult to prospect for by telephone, you're probably better off focusing on life even if it's just to use as a lead in product.
 
good answer josh...i always expect to do better than that when i call and that at least brings me down 2 reality...because i feel i am very good on the phone or when prospecting i shouldn't have 2 work that many numbers but i should expect that and be happy if i do better.
 
I would say 5 for every 100...older affluent neighborhoods with average home values. Basically houses in nice areas but there is
a good amount of old money there.

BY THE WAY...just got a $789,000 annuity from a survey I b.s. you not...
