OK OK, I will open the bidding.

$10, I have a $10 opening bid!

Do I hear $20, anyone $20?

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You're just being a douche to be a douche.

If the site is cranking $600-$900/month then clearly it's worth something. If the traffic can be verified I think the $200 was insultingly low, but I think asking $50k is just as insulting.

To me, $5k sounds like a much more reasonable number. What do you think Pangea, would that be reasonable?

That was my point. Why on earth would anyone pay you $50k for a site when they can pay folks to generate their own? That doesn't make sense.
Because if you create a website, and start to do SEO, you will have to do it non-stop and pay non-stop. If you pay $70K for the domain name + website (it is important, because if you don't use the web site, you will lose all SEO work I've done), you will pay 1 time only and will need to do some very minor maintenance work only. If you carefully re-read post #10, where I explain the details of the [best insurance] keyword, you will understand that no additional SEO work is required. You need to do the SEO if you want to get more traffic and to do it for other close to "best insurance" keywords like [best car insurance] and so on.

Bestinsurance, you are obviously wasting your time here. Why not peddle your site somewhere else where someone might be crazy enough to pay your price?

TO save you some time. Most of us don't have that kind of money if it was a good deal.

70k is just a lot of money for the avg person on here.

Perhaps you are right. If I don't sell it for the right price, I won't sell it at all. It brings tiny but stable money, so selling it even for $5K is silly, as it repays this amount in about half year.

to Pangaea

Why did you PM me, if you shared info then...? I could tell you the price here. It may sound overpriced, but good and sound domain names are in a great scarcity and this one is very very good. A similar domain name was sold for $114K about 1 year ago.

Domain name is hardly the issue, this site has very little off-page SEO. As far as the name, its keyword density is geared towards a phrase that is too generic, "best insurance." If you really believe the domain is super valuable, turn it into a lead aggregation site and made a spiff off of every lead instead. Decent domain names without a solid off-page SEO arent worth what you think. I own the domain "matingsite.com" as an investment, sounds like a great dating site name eh? That doen'st make it worth alot until some company comes along wanting the name.

One of the rules of economics:

it's worth what people will pay for it

PS I'll say matingsite.com for anything over $300

by the way kids, I just ran the keyword "best insurance" through market samurai (a sexy piece of SEO software) if you simply want almost the same keyword density towards best insurance

ebestinsurance.org
ebestinsurance.net

Buy both of these get some solid backlinks and you'll outrank bestinsurance.com in a matter of months for the phrase best insurance

total cost would be about $500 even if you paid someone else to do everything
